SlothBoogie’s Editz imprint returns late May for its tenth release, entitled ‘Routines’ and coming courtesy of Berlin based label regular Joe Cleen.
Berlin’s Joe Cleen has been releasing his signature twist on contemporary disco over the past few years via Jazz Cabbage, Repsies and of course SlothBoogie where he returns here. On top of his production output Cleen has also been a regular at some of his home turf’s most respected venues such as Salon zur Wilden Renate, Farbfernseher, Crack Bellmer, Beate Uwe and more...

Saint Wax has been on a bit of a golden run with their releases over the last year. Keeping them nice and regular but not overdoing teh release schedule they have managed to keep the quality sky high with 12's from label boss Gledd, The Funk District / Vagabundo Social Club and now a brand new double header 12 from Soulcheeba / Rob Castillo. 

Yet again it's a very special slice of black wax. Our premier today is the stunning I Made One Myself by London's Soulcheeba. Deep soulful and packed full of groove it's a track which just gathers you up in it's warm embrace, guides you to the middle of dancefloor and holds you tight among the  throng of pulsating bodies as the party goes off all around. Pretty incredible stuff.

Vinyl obsessive, renowned DJ and talented producer, Kon knows a thing or two about good music. Dubbed "King of the Edits" by Boiler Room, Kon is perhaps best known for his partnership with fellow Boston DJ Amir, which spawned 'Off Track', surely the most influential compilation series of recent years. Counting Gilles Peterson, Mark Ronson & Lord Finesse among his fans, Kon is well established as a 'go-to-guy' for countless DJs across the world looking for fresh, off-kilter sounds.

His latest project 'Kon & The Gang' is a collection of exclusive, unreleased music from Kon and a variety of his current favourite artists including Truccy, Eli Escobar, Bosq & Seven Davis Jr. Representing the new wave of distinctive and original disco-influenced music which has grown out of the 'edit' scene, Kon & The Gang showcases several 'artists to watch' as this dynamic movement builds momentum. Lyon based, Moonrise Hill Material initially stamped their mark through a series of stellar records, delivering a brand of familiarly sunny sampled french house yet most importantly, unmistakably and distinguishably, 'them'. This 'renaissance' - if you will - of the French variety of house has seen the rise to the stars of MHM's founders, most notably that of Folamour and Ethyene. Despite an early release on Moonrise Hill and an offering on Folamour's 'For Heaven Use Only', Victor Dijoud aka Kaffe Crème has remained bubbling under the surface - until now!

Kaffe's, 'Neukölln Omelett' contributes further towards the aforementioned French renaissance of underground house music by teaming up with fellow countrymen Vertv records for a quartette of silky and masterfully crafted, intelligent dance music. If you have a penchant for cleverly used samples, then we urge you to listen to this and the rest of Kaffe Crème's work.

Local Talk is proud to present the second 10" release featuring music by Kyoto Jazz Sextet getting remixed. 

This time the remix torch is passed from Ron Trent to Jaxx Madicine. The Milanese trio's remix of "Mission" has a feel of confidence and charge which allows it an accessibility and artistic integrity that shines through immediately, it takes you to another place.
