I grew up as the Beatles being the ONE for me. So many told me the Beach Boys are also up there with them growing up.  I really enjoyed their general vibe and obviously their songs (particualr Pet Sounds) are legendary. But I also found them a bit gimmicky and repetitive. In my early 30s, I was watching every indie movie coming out when living in SLC, and the Love and Mercy movie got me interested in them.  So I revisited their stuff over that summer with a new perspective and an older age. Had fun recorded a lesser known song as way to appreciate them.  To be honest, it was a very short lived phase. their backstory is kind of dark and icky and still not a lot stuck with me, while the Beatles story is one the greatest stories of all time.  I remember recording this made me feel the essence of summer in ways other artists cant do.  Brought me back to summer camp. Stumbled on it this week, and want to share the summer spirit.  

At the very least, I hope my partner Robbie like the soft synth solo I added at the end.

Andrea Rose (90s Television Cover) Fixed

My buddy Stephen and I were crushing on the new-at-the-time Hovvdy album. I always havea guitar by my work desk and I learned this song, recorded a crude voice memo, and sent it to Stephen and Chris for a quick show off. He surprised me and fixed it up and added keys, drums, bass, backup vox.  This inspired me to want to work on an album as it seemed like an unattainable time commitment. But Steve made it easy and I got to thinking.  New album of originals coming Spring/Summer 2026

Clean (Hovvdy Cover)

I had an old phone recording of a song from my rockstar friend Tomas Olano that he did in undergrad. Mid 2000s. Always loved the song, like most of Tomas' songs.  Started working on a personal album in 2025, and wanted to test bass by adding it to this track. Had so much fun that we just went full band with it.  Later, sent it to Stephen who fixed it up on Tomas' bday week.
