Bizarre Trax co-founders Felon5 step up to the pod with this sprawling mix; taking in a number of genres and tempos but always with an emphasis on groove.

A trio of accomplished DJs and producers in their own right - with releases on LowMoneyMusicLove, LuckIsOn and of course their own Bizarre Trax imprint - there's an undoubted synergy between the three of them on display throughout this two-hour trip.

I had the honour of meeting the ever so talented Jacob aka Kid Sublime , here is a mix he curated for us, its a true gem enjoy lovelies!

More about him : 
Born in a Dutch family of artists and musicians, playing piano and drums since 5 years old while listening to his grandfathers Duke Ellington records trying to replay "C-Jam Blues" it was only natural for Jacob to give his life and heart to music at an early age. 
From drumming in Hardcore Punk bands to touring the world with Brazillian band Zuco 103 and working in recordstore Fat Beats he quikly laid down a strong and solid foundation to build his career as a producing musician and Disc Jockey.

After trying out an Akai MPC 60 in the late 90's, Kid Sublime got hooked to the machine and a few years later he released his first House 12", "Tea For Two" which got re-edited by Francois K. !
Teaming up with Dj Aardvarck and Steven De Peven (now Awanto3) he started the Rednose Distrikt collective. 
After releasing many singles on Rushhour and an album on Kindred Spirits, it was time for Kid to start a solo career.
In 2003 Kid kicked it of with his Deephouse 12'' series „Basement Works” on Rushhour and soul album "Basement Soul” on Kindred Spirits which featured artists like Lady Alma, Nicky Guiland from Heavy, Jneiro Jarrel and local soul singers U-Gene and Yinka.
After a 3 year hiatus it was time to drop his first Hip Hop album in 2008: ”Rappin' Blak” on Dopeness Galore.
 The album featured Hip-Hop heavy weights: Frank N Dank, Illa J, Camp Lo and Defari.

Kid's recent House and Techno output on Dopeness Galore and Faces/MCDE records are received very well in the deejay and club community.

 Getting spins from Laurent Garnier, Carl Craig, Recloose, Rich Medina, Ben Sims, Anton Pieete, Steve Rachmad, Ryan Elliot and then some, Kid's infectious, funky and soulful House sounds are sure shot records amongst deejays, clubbers and dancers across the globe.

Last year Kid dropped his second Hip Hop album: "Hot Water Music” on the Japanese Teppen Records Inc. label. A collection of tracks he recorded over the last few years with super emcee’s: Declaime, Tableek (of Maspyke), Georgia-Anne Muldrow, CeeMajor and Japanese rising stars Buzz and Wise Sensei. 

Next to playing gigs overseas and full time studio work Kid has started his own club night: LIVE AT THE BALLROOM and his bi-weekly radio show BALLROOM RADIO.
Both ventures found a home in Amsterdam's finest underground House and Techno club Studio 80. 
Playing 70's Disco classics, US Garage, Detroit Techno and exclusive new productions Kid Sublime's deejay sets are a true dancing experience.

Yama Music returns this April with its fifth release, entitled ‘The Shin’yuu Various Artist’ EP and featuring material from Birdsmakingmachine, Locïc & Dan Formless, TIJN and of course Yama Music themselves.
Over the past few years the Yama Music imprint has been a platform for the artist of the same name to release this tripped-out take on micro house. Initially the project was launched via monthly tracks dropping on the duo’s bandcamp page before being snapped up by Yoyaku’s Varhat as part of the YY Distributon family and gaining a steady following of loyal fans ever since.
Here the label steps out of it’s usual format and welcomes an array of other talents onto its roster. First up to the plate is Barcelona’s Birdsmakingmachine who deliver ‘Moorbeet’, a chunky house cut fuelled by bumpy, shuffled drums, a choppy bass hook and winding, hypnotic synth work. Locïc & Dan Formless follow next with ‘No Laughin Matter’, retaining a similar aesthetic via a dusty, swinging drum groove and gritty bass running alongside airy dub chords, modulating synth effects and trippy spoken word vocals.
Yama Music open the flip-side with ‘Back Where You Belong’, stripping things back rhythmically and shining light on the duos innate ability to sculpt intricately intertwining synths, dreamy soundscapes and a dynamic feel. TIJN’s ‘Nikkee’ then closes the package, fusing bright ethereal stab sequences and rounded subs with skippy hats and organic drums.
