Since releasing on Reinforced at the age of 16, Dominic Stanton has always remained one of the most influential producers in the west London broken beat scene. Those early adventures via numerous successful aliases laid the foundations for Dom's sound, eventually leading to the launch of 'Sonar's Ghost' in 2013.

Welcoming Sonar's Ghost to Metalheadz is now long overdue, so it's a pleasure to be showcasing 'The Fall and Rise Of...' as part of the Metalheadz Platinum series this July. Consisting of 5 collabs, 4 of them making the vinyl cut, the release draws inspiration from the rich heritage of jungle and breakbeat, effortlessly weaving together intricate rhythms and immersive textures. Outrage & Scale feature on 2 tracks each, whilst Acid_Lab also gets in on the virtual collaboration bringing together a complimentary selection of styles.

After two impressive reworks of tunes by BOP and Need For Mirrors, Kuttin Edge himself now graces us with two beautiful and boundary-pushing originals, combining with the previously released remixes in a four-track EP.

Both originals are inspired by Kuttin Edge's recent trip to Japan, with the title track, 'Hanzōmon Line,' taking its name directly from a Tokyo Metro Line. This track is a relentless, techno-influenced piece, in the artist's own words, "channeling my inner Jeff Mills."
In contrast, the opening track of the EP, 'Take Me Back,' contrasts with 'Hanzōmon Line' nicely, featuring elegant and dreamy tones atop groovy breaks.

Pair these two Kuttin Edge originals with remixes from drum & bass heavyweights BOP and Need For Mirrors, and you've got yourself one powerhouse of an EP.

The Hanzōmon EP from Kuttin Edge drops March 13th.

Outrage, aka Nomine, is known for his FAT productions in Dubstep and Drum and Bass. He's been rolling with Function Records since 2008 when Outrage and Resound produced Cryonize for Fist Of Fury EP.

Outrage is on a nice run at the moment! He produces some bangers for Function following his recent releases on Overshadow, a collab EP on Metalheadz with Sonar's Ghost and a tasty remix of Kosheen's 'Hide You'.

Locked Concept is a label co-founded by drum and bass artist Lockjaw and close friends. It is a platform to enable creative control and ensure a high quality marriage of visual and auditory art forms.

Locked Concept explores the deeper side of music with a focus on "listening" music over the ability to make one dance. On the visual side of things, the label features local visual artists who focus on a variety of different mediums to convey their feelings about the music featured on the label.
