He stands out with hypnotic soundscapes that really take you in an adventure at the boundary between dream and reality, where illusions of the night are dispelled. His sets can be described as sentimental layers of sounds that have the ability to work their way into peoples’ minds, leaning on deepness and a large spectrum of sound interventions.
Alex's lifetime passion, music, especially on vinyl - with which he has a soul-related relationship for many years, has brought him to the point where he began to mix many sets exclusively on vinyl, after many years of players or digital, a big influence for him was joining the Vinyl, Rum, Tapas & Wine rooster 4 years ago, and since then he travelled the country to showcase his love for music on vinyl. Sharing the stage with lovely musicians like Parov Stelar Band LIVE, Marius Mihalache & Band LIVE, Julien Lebrun, Nopame, K-lu, Ufe and many many others was just one of the highlits of those years.

Alexincase, by his real name, Alexandru Bogheanu, countered numerous events in the last couple of years from big festivals like Electric Castle, Afterhills and Street Delivery Bucharest 2019 to playing his vinyl records at the Ploiești Jazz Festival in November 2019, an absolute highlight for him and, also, a great way to get to know some big artists like Ravi Coltrane, Benito Gonzales, Ralph Peterson, Pilani Bubu, Carmen Souza, Camilla George and many other great musicians.
He continued the collaboration with Ploiești Jazz Festival also in 2021, 2022 and this year will also perform before and after the 2023 Ploiești Jazz Festival, and also he will play his records at a couple of rooftop events with live bands, warming up the atmosphere and, eventually, playing an after-party.

"This mix came together just like every other set I play: on the fly. At home I like to keep a stack of my most recent/current favourite records in a stand, so it’s easy to just start mixing. One free evening I hit record on Audacity -  and 3 hours later I had this mixtape down. It’s not every session I play for that long, but why stop when you’re having fun? :)

The mix is a pretty accurate take on my current tastes and how I like to build push and pull into a set. My aim was to capture an atmosphere of timelessness, while a constant sub bass guides the listener through changing rhythms and sensations. I hope your 3 hours with the mix will go as quickly as mine did! "

Dear Undersounders,

We are back with a new mix for our podcast series, this time with a slightly different approach. This is a Live set recording from Chris Geschwindner, a very young Frankfurt based producer, who was also featured in our latest release on UndersoundLAB, with this track "Cirrus".

This live recording is entirely composed by  Chris's own tracks, most of it still unreleased. We really like this artist's style, and we are quite impressed considering he is only 21 years old and was able to put a live set together like this one.

We truly hope you will enjoy this mix, and be sure you will be hearing more of Chris Geschwinder's music from us in the future ;)
