After a 10 year hiatus from writing and recording to raise my sons, I came back to write and record the EP Machine.  I had just had a creative and emotional awakening of sorts and the music that I wanted to write was very electronic and emotional.

Taken Over

After a 10 year hiatus from writing and recording to raise my sons, I came back to write and record the EP Machine.  I had just had a creative and emotional awakening of sorts and the music that I wanted to write was very electronic and emotional. This song was really based around the feelings that I missed in writing music.

Solace

Since I was in the electronic vibe for the Machine EP, I really wanted to release a remix of one of my songs. I chose In One Place.

In One Place - REMIX

This song was put together in a group of other acoustic songs but I felt it more fit as a single. It was originally composed as just myself and acoustic but wanted to add some more parts with bass, drums, strings and some piano to round it out.

Little Things

This song was actually written in the studio with my engineer.  I had little bits of a melody and some lyrics but nothing really solid.  As we started to play around with it, the song came to life.

Lost Star

This is the first single released for a new EP to drop in 2020. I wanted to write more indie rock songs that were stripped down to simple instrumentation. Guitar, Bass, and Drums.

Just Maybe

Lockemy is an Indie Rock/Acoustic solo artist that brings his emotional writing style to all his music and has for the last 20 years. He draws his inspiration from personal stories and self-awareness that are common themes with everyday people. He enjoys stretching his creative legs by exploring different genres with songs like The Fog that enter into electronic rock then to songs like Little Things and Lost Star that showcase a more softer acoustic side that are perfect for sync placement. Lockemy's latest EP Kingdoms brought him back to his Indie Rock roots with soaring vocals and intricate guitar lines. Lockemy is continuously writing music for release in the public sphere and also is now stepping into the Sync Licensing Arena.
