Locket is an Austin-based rock band made up of longtime friends to capture the raw emotion of the music that helped shape who we are today. Formed in 2014, and with only word of mouth and DIY booking, and no actual release of music, the band quickly filled local and regional lineups and built relationships and networks with bands and fans. An honest excitement was being built that was reminiscent of bands that helped build our youth.

Taking influences from mewithoutyou, La Dispute, Glassjaw, The Cure, Brand New, and My Iron Lung, the band blended melodic instrumentation with a heavy message and brought an EP in Spring 2015. Recorded at Shine Studios, the self-titled effort brings five tracks of honest tunes.

With a heavy show schedule and playing with a wide range of bands such as A Lot Like Birds, Nominee, Fossil Youth, Insvrgence, Icarus the Owl, Life Lessons, and Keeper, Locket is excited for touring and connecting with bands and fans that share their love of knowing where we all came from and where we're going.
