The one and only Roman Flügel takes the lead with a wonked-out trip down ‘Basic Colour Theory’ lane. With a sly switch on the kicks and full emphasis on the alien encounter feels, his trippy take on ‘Don’t’ sets the perfect creative benchmark for what’s to follow. 
Dig deeper for a bumping, stripped back warm and jacking twist of ‘It’s Happening’ by the currently unavoidable Rutilance founder DJ Steaw while Counter Records’ Pional breaks down their recent jolt of euphoria ‘Rave History’ and rebuilds it into a slinkier, house affair, repurposing every spine-tingle and skin-ripple Greg and Voitek coded into the original. 
Deeper again we’re treated to an exceptional twist of their Green Velvet collaboration ‘Keep On’ as LAWLER injects a springy, molten momentum to the elements with a salubriously loopy machine funk feel. Finally, for good measure, Jonathan Kasper wraps up their 2016 spiritual trip ‘Elixir’ with a new sense of conga-riddled, bass-licked momentum. Maeve are thrilled to welcome long time friend Kev Sheridan to the label for his debut release. Kev is one of the most talented musicians we know and its an honor for us to release his first work to the world. This project has been developing over the past few years and now we have a record we feel showcases the deep musicality and talent Kev has.

Although not sounding like a typical Maeve dance floor record, the A side entitled "Alone in Berlin" is a stunningly beautiful piece of music. Its measured melancholic flow creates a shared empathy between listener and composer.

"Wash Over Me" is the A2, and with it comes a change of pace moving into a broken beat rhythm but still maintaining the emotion of the A side. Haunting pads hang over clean staccato percussion creating an overall euphoric vibe.

"Losing Someone Is Never Easy" is the final track on the EP on the B side. This straight up house cut again shows Sheridans deep musicality using a wide range of instruments to weave a beautiful tapestry made for special dance floor moments.

Erol Alkan invites two much-loved talents work their own familiar magic on ‘Spectrum’. Mano Le Tough takes the track on a blissful trip through deep space, finding wormholes of sonic pleasure around an elastic bassline, waving bells and Moroder-esque synth. Finally, Istanbul's premier edit-master and renowned crate-digger Barış K takes the krautrock drums that drove Alkan's original track and engineers a dense, understated remix that utilises sounds inspired by the equally innovative heritage of Turkish rock and disco.
