This album is uplifting and empowering not only in the music, but also the vocals and lyrical themes. We wanted to touch on the lighter side of life and hope that people feel a connection to some of the songs. The goal was to live up to the band's name and be that inspiration for others who are struggling. If someone listening to this album finds some kind of connection or feels an emotion we have done our job. Its some of the best work the we have done so far. Some songs have gotten more progressive which takes the listener on a journey with some twists and turns. Songs like "Distance To Your Light" and the 10 min long epic "World Of Change" are great examples of this. For fans of the band's doom/gothic metal sound, there is plenty to be found on this album. "Save Me From Fate" and "In Your Shadow" are songs that contrast some of the lighter hard rock songs, and are sure to satisfy people who love our darker sound. We would like to thank Riccardo Pasini from Studio 73 for his talent and skill in making this a well mixed album. "Event Horizon" the second studio album from Lodestar. Follows the debut self-titled album released last year in May. The new album, focuses more on the doom side of the band, focusing on more longer songs and slow methodical guitar riffs. The band members remain the same, with Kate at the forefront  and Jensen on guitar. A new track titled "Redeem Myself" showcases special guest vocalist Mary Perpetual aka (ArmY) from the band Perpetual Fate. This album also introduces a new mixing and mastering engineer Riccardo Pasini from Studio 73. For the first time ever, Lodestar will be releasing physical copies of "Event Horizon" for purchase. The new album is now available on CD on the bands Bandcamp page. As for what comes next? the band has already gotten songs being worked on for a 3rd studio album! hopefully to release next year in 2023 on CD  as well. We will like to thank everyone who listens to this album, we appreciate you taking the time to listen to our music. "Wanderers" contains 3 all new tracks from Lodestar and the song that closes the EP "The Wanderer" is a never released before song. The title track is one of the first songs the band recorded, now it has come to see the light of day with the release of this EP. Limited edition CDs of the EP can be found on our Bandcamp page!

"we had this song The Wanderer sitting around for 2 years now. It was never officially released, so during the middle of making our 2nd studio album Event Horizon. We decided, lets write 3 extra songs that are very much in the style of doom metal. So we can create an EP that will include The Wanderer so we can finally release it, and not just as a single. EP's give us the chance to experiment, that is why we decided to go more on the doom metal route for these 4 songs and leave the rock side of our sound behind. Just so we can experiment and make this release different from the others

Lodestar are a 2-piece Canadian Doom/Gothic Metal studio band which formed in 2020 from a collection of passionate people who met during the pandemic. Kate Glock takes lead vocals and synth. While Jensen Rodolfo takes on the role as the guitar player, while also doing the bass and drums. Together they create a style of music which is slow, heavy, and yet melodic. Combining from genres such as Doom Metal, Gothic Metal, and of Hard Rock, to bring something that is moody, atmospheric and emotional.
