DJ Kaos’ Disco Landmark mix CD for A1 Records receives a much welcome reissue treatment. Originally mixed in 2003 for legendary NYC record store A1 Records, East Village (“Can't imagine a better record store in Manhattan… one of the best record stores in the world“ - The Vinyl Factory), the mix was recorded from DJ Kaos’ very own vinyl collection, and given away as part of a NYC disco promotional campaign.

Berlin-based Mathias Modica is many different things, but first and foremost he’s an old pal of Lodown as our ways crossed more than once since he co-founded Gomma in 2000. We hooked up once again in early June - not only to talk all that jazz - but to bridge the gap from Munich’s glorious past to his musical present in Berlin.

Needless to say that their entry for Lodown’s ongoing Monday Mixtape series is as eclectic and unpredictable as you hoped it would be - a laid-back antidote for another weird and hectic week that’s in front of us.

The Australian native and co-founder of mind expanding imprint Multi Culti began his voyage into production in the noughties as Gus Da Hoodrat, part of the party-starting Bang Gang crew. After a brief hiatus from music he returned as Dreems, and with that a more organic psychedelic approach to DJing and producing.

This deep natural approach is mirrored in how he runs Multi Culti with fellow DJ and friend, Thomas Von Party. Since starting the imprint in 2013, the pair have cultivated a striking visual and audio aesthetic, becoming flag-bearers for kaleidoscopic pan global sounds.
