I wrote this song for a Ninja Tune competition. The guidelines for this was to use samples from a song in the Tracklib catalogue. I used a voice sample from a song called "Sunlight WARMTH Golden HOUR" by the artist The One I Ever Had. The song combines elements of Electronic and Classical. Its feel is energetic and upbeat with an emphasis on the use of synthesized sounds to create a unique sound that blends different genres seamlessly. The mood is relaxed as it encourage listeners to move their bodies in rhythmic motion while also providing lyrics that express feelings such as hope.

I wrote “The Good and the Bad” for a Ninja Tune competition, using a Tracklib sample from “Power” by the producer Swede. Expect deep Jungle and techno grooves, hypnotic vibes, and a nod to classic sampling culture. Don’t miss it!

The Good and the bad

Kicking off my determination (no matter how busy) to get back to the music the first of some house keeping before I move on with some new Area 32 and Soul Music stuff. 
I’ve got 4 mixes I said I’d do, this one goes back to when I played for the Shake Your Booty crew at their excellent outdoor gig in Chesham Town Centre in August 23, I said I'd do a recording of my mix.
I’ve called this Shake Your Booty plus as it’s what I played, what I had with me but didn’t have time to play plus some bits that all came out just at that time including what was meant to be a show case of a few tracks from the newly release X-Press 2 album!....only 2 years late but hey you can still buy it!

Hello everyone! I'm Jack Dixon (Loduca), a student at Salford Univeristy studying Popular Music and Recording. I'm lucky enough to be able to write these tunes for fun as well as them counting toward my final uni grade, and I thought I'd pop up a few that you might like! I use Logic Pro 9, using a mix of synths and chopped loops, and some audio was recorded on an Zoom H4n. Around May I should have a lot finished...so keep your ears peeled for future improvements and new material!
