The towers swept from beneath the sand like great thrones of gold. Beneath them many had gathered to observe the spectacle, for this was the highlight of the calendar. The sun was at its highest point and the radiant heat cascaded down heavily upon the desert floor. There was little life out here but for the occasional insect, yet somehow a concave of humans had masqueraded their way across the haunted landscape to meet beneath the shadowy pillars. 

Turenne is one of four to appear on a new EP forthcoming from Axe On Wax. Packed with enchanting tracks for summer the release also features the likes of Marlon Hoffstadt and Jesse Bru.

Watergate Records returns late October with Kerri Chandler’s ‘Checkmate’, accompanied by remixes from Cinthie and Steve Rachmad.

The original mix of ‘Checkmate’ opens and in true fashion from the house maestro sets the tone of raw, understated and emotive house via an amalgamation of dreamy synth chord sequences, acid tinged bass lines and floaty arps, all accompanied by his signature New Jersey swing on the drum programming.

The ultimate no-nonsense party-rocking, festival-shocking combo, Hot Cakes Live brings together three of the finest DJs on the UK bass circuit - Deekline, Ed Solo and JFB - with the microphone talents of the mighty Rubi Dan. This raucous trio of renowned turntable killers will be blowing up main stages across the UK and beyond this summer, coming through in full effect to get those bassbins seriously booming.

A bass music icon from the days of his Platinum-selling UK garage anthem I Don't Smoke Da Reefer, Deekline recently released (with Ed Solo) new album Bounce 'n' Shake, a tour de force of booty bass, jungle, soul, breaks, dubstep, drumstep and drum 'n' bass sent down with the kind of assurance one might expect from a DJ who has sent bodies flying round the room at club venues across the globe for more than a decade. Expect brazen and bombastic badboy anthems accompanied by skilled, selective scratch techniques capable of hyping up even the most taciturn of crowds from an artist who recently proved his hipster credentials with remixes for the likes of Lethal Bizzle and Laidback Luke.

Joining Deekline on stage will be partner in crime Ed Solo, an expert studio guru whose sublime engineering skills are equalled only by his nack for a booty-bouncing hook and an ability to throw down on the turntables. Described by no less than Fatboy Slim as "The Thinking Man's Grandmaster Flash", this Brighton-based DJ and producer is a scratch daddy for the bass music generation, an artist who is as likely to beat juggle dubstep rollers as he is to throw down live remixes of classic hip-shaking 12"s (check out his barmy take on DJ Shadow's Midnight in a Perfect World or infamous four-turntable reworking of Fatboy Slim's Right Here Right Now on YouTube for a taste of what to expect).
