If you're expecting our usual output from the Ejector Seat EP, then we're sorry to say you're going to be extremely disappointed, but you shouldn't be, as this release is packed with some of the most unique grooves and rhythms we've ever had the pleasure of releasing. As one of the more niche sub-genres of electronic music, OHARE seems to have mastered the craft when it comes to Footwork / Juke, managing to combine quick, steppy drum patterns, with even quicker basslines, and even some elegantly chopped vocals for that little bit of icing on the cake, all while doing it in a perfect harmony that not many could achieve. As a genre that isn't that widely known, it comes as no surprise that when we decided to take this don on as one of our core artists, it was this style of production that made us fall in love with his output, it takes a lot as an artist to push a sound you truly believe in and not fall into the same patterns as many others do, and for that we will forever have the upmost respect for him. OHARE is doing Scotland proud pass it on...

Polish producer Satl steps out of his comfort zone and explores his Dub Techno infuences on his new Lucid Dreams EP: his sophomore release on Amsterdam boutique label The North Quarter.

Consisting of six brooding, but elegant tracks, “Lucid Dreams” is the work of an artist taking creative risks in order to grow and fnd his voice. Having made the move from Rotterdam to Gdańsk at the start of the year, Satl spent his lockdown delving into his love for Techno; looking to translate it into his Drum & Bass productions - with exceptional results.

"This EP to me is an exploration of a sound that I've loved for some time, but never really felt confdent enough to attempt. A more raw, techno-inspired, but still elegant and classy form of Drum and Bass," he explains. "I always strive to push myself forward, and I feel really good about this project. It's a step outside of my comfort zone. A project that I'm really proud of."

Satl - Goblin Shark

Today we launch “Detached" - a regular series of free unique single releases from artists that we respect here at the label but also provide an opportunity to explore sounds which unapologetically push new edges in bass music. 

To kick things off we have invited Manchester-based Danny Jones, aka Aagentah, to be first to join us.

Whilst Danny is the founder of undercurrent electronic music joint Rendah Magazine, we see him gradually climb the ranks of leftfield bass as a producer with a unique run of releases on tastemaker labels such as YUKU, SATURATE!, VALE and RAM. 

Whilst his inspiration draws upon a wide array of influences including '90's Jazz, Science Fiction score music, experimental electronic and Drum & Bass, Aegentah steps forward with “Vanguard” - a sonic gem best described as an intersection of atmospheric, Leftfield and DNB.
