Born on the Six Nations Reserve and raised in the small ghost town of Brantford, Ontario, Logan Staats started writing and performing music in his early teens and would later go on to become an accomplished multi-nominated and award winning artist. Once in a blue moon, an artist emerges on the scene as if fully formed. His haunting and distinct voice, immediate in its character, has given him countless opportunities to share the stage with acts such as Buffy Sainte-Marie, Keith Secola, Mumford and Sons and more. A product of passion, compulsion and tireless musical commitment, Logan’s songs feel as if they are truly his own. Armed with his guitar and harmonica, he has transitioned from running the weekend bar circuit to playing sold out venues and events at places like his favourite venue The Sanderson Centre in his hometown. Logan never misses the opportunity to collaborate his style with other artists, such as Derek Miller, even honouring his long time favourite singer/songwriter Bob Dylan with his recording of a late night, live off the floor version of “Don’t Think Twice” accompanied by Terra Lightfoot. His performances are animated by a level of self-possession, sadness and joy created by an aura of inevitability that surrounds the emergence of such artists. Now reunited with Victor Martisius, an award-winning guitarist, producer, former band mate from Ghost Town Orchestra and his best friend, Logan is on a warpath hell bent on raising the bar for indigenous/mainstream crossover music. Ingrained with the mentality that anything is possible when you put your heart and soul into it, Logan is well on his way to further accomplishing greatness.
