Moo Moonster debut EP Consort of Zeus on Ya Hala Ya Hala rocks an Italo disco vibe in some style, convincingly recreating the muscular vibe of the era. In the artist words; “Europa, is a reminder that there is always light in the midst of dark. The first part of the track is the hypnosis process to believe in that light at the end of the tunnel. In the second part of the track, you'll end up in an apotheotic part where the light shines brightly. At the time I started producing this track I was listening to references like Lama's "Love Is on The Rocks" and Steel Mind's "Bad Passion" I wanted the synths and pads to be classically cut, to create that current Italo sound in which I feel represented. Claudia's (Final Grrl) stuttering vocals were the perfect complement to closing the track.

Hera, was produced in the midst of the Covid crisis, I was already recovered and I felt comfortable sailing again by darker sounds like electro and EBM. The vocals were thought this time from the beginning of the track, with messages for those energy vampires who walk the earth. The choice of language was a nod to one of my favorite bands Liaisons Dangereuses. On this track, I wanted to represent myself in full energy, with a guitar riff, and a melody straight out of an 80s movie where the protagonist is in trouble.”

On the remix duties is leftfield innovator Autarkic, who brought his dub, psychedelic rocky, swampy techno sound to Europa.The producer's standout work has arrived on labels like Turbo, K7 Records, and Malka Tuti, not to mention his latest highly acclaimed album ‘Term & Conditions’ on DJ Tennis Life and Death.

After well-received releases on labels such as Ombra International, Correspondant, ROAM and ME ME ME, Italy's Amarcord delivers a remix of Europa where he showcases his flair for producing dynamic, synth-driven tracks influenced by the cosmic quirks of the 80s.

"It begins with a promise of suspense and mystery. Dark and groovy bass does the thing. After a strong introduction track jumps to some weird and unusual sound design that gives some vitamin D for your muscles to have more energy on the dance floor. Can't hold a theme throughout the track which forces you to think and wait for what's coming up next. It's like a mash up of a few different ideas that merge into one complete masterpiece. I personally prefer a darker motives, that this track indeed does offer. But...is it fully dark from it's core or is it just simply 50 shades of dark? That's is a question which you must answer by yourself while listening to this track. 
The tune itself has some traits that can be associated with the music that was popular back in the 80's and still holds up to this day. I can almost picture this as one of the soundtracks for Miami Vice." - Quixotical Music psychoanalyst Vidas Stanynas.


The Argentine duo Renuna, integrated by Cali Burton and Tots make their debut at NUFF MUSIC label with their EP called "Nos Tienen Encerrados" releasing two original pieces that immerse us in special attractive sounds for strong dances, these original pieces are matched respectively with remixes by great Mexican producers such as Fausto and Alex Aguayo in which they dilute their peculiar defined styles respectively.

Günce Acı makes her Factor City debut with 3 excellent original tracks followed by solid remixes from Modular Project and Stockholm Youth. Istanbul-based Dj/Producer Günce Acı has been spinning in many clubs, venues and festivals in Istanbul underground music scene since 2014 and recently in Europe. Influenced by Indie-dance, new wave, electronica and ebm. Her hypnotic pads, powerful bass lines and absurd melodies meet under the roof of her signature sound. She has already showed her talent in great labels such us Ombra INTL or Nein.
Here we have 3 new examples of her very personal and effective take on dance music. Her unique rendition is full of brazen rhythms, sharp beats and moving percussions. Powerful and sleazy bass lines and hypnotic and mental synth stabs and pads.
The remixes come by Italian rising duo Modular Project. Their take on
“Dream of the sirens” is a riveting and percussive ride. A perfectly
crafted retouch.
Another one comes from production team Stockholm Youth, formed by Stockholm Syndrome and Tronic Youth, who deliver a raw, distorted and darker version of “Exposure”.
The release comes wrapped in a beautiful cover by David Imbernon.

Team AEON is thrilled to announce the 5th edition of the Lost Tapes series where music of family members and newbies come together in one release.
The compilation will be released in 2 parts. As a subscriber and family member, you’ll get the full VA compilation including all 13 tracks in advance, exclusively!

Part 1:
We kick off the first part with a special: Italian artist Fabrizio Mammarella (one half of Black Spuma - with Lauer), who’s also well known for his skills as a remixer, releases his first solo track „Compumemory“ on AEON.
The young gun from Italy Amarcord is a true AEON family member now. His previous contributions are followed up with a punchy weapon called, „Momentum“.
We are also happy to welcome back our mysterious producer Futuristant with a nostalgic track in style and meaning „Before I miss you“. And Omri Smader with his hypnotic Italo club track „Seger Peger“, who’s latest releases on Blue Shadow & Correspondant caught a lot of attention.
These two are followed by contributions from two debutants. Berlin’s Parla (‘Permanent Vacation’), who’s bringing the early morning/afterhour burner „A World in Purple“ and Felkon from Germany with the clubby Italo shaker „Lytis“.
Last but not least, Silicodisco returns to AEON with a collaboration with DPAZ and created the retro, melodic, dark Italo dance track „Hellish Night“. A track that characterizes the both of them and the perfect track to welcome you to the second part of the Lost Tapes Vol. 5.

Part 2:
Following up on his successfull releases on Gerd Janson’s ‘Running Back’ and his latest EP on DJ Tennis’s label ‘Life & Death’, Alan Dixon kicks off part two with „Space Manoeuvres“.
AEON newbie Alex Virgo brings the Spring vibes with the happy track „Clown Car“.
After Machinegewehr’s well received „Nutant EP“ (AEON054), the Rotterdammer returns with another trippy Italo monster „Call the shots“.
Having already done a remix for „Serpentine“ by Darlyn Vlys, Micropacer is not new to the camp anymore. And we are happy to have him on board with his first solo track „The Magic Number“ on AEON.
Musumeci doesn’t need an introduction anymore. The Italian made his way in the industry with several hit remixes and solo productions on his own imprint „Multinotes“ (with Lehar) or „Permanent Vacation“, after being one of the first remixers on AEON almost a decade ago. His collaboration with Aldebaran on „Escamotage“ will stay in your ears for a while.
Hailing from Jakarta the 4th newbie Past Futura closes this 13 tracker VA with his „Viva La Discoteque“, which we couldn’t think of a better closing title in these difficult times.

Nico Raibak - Ashes to Ashes

On the road for a little longer than a year now, the cool Mexican label Kyma Komplex has been featuring some of the finest artists of the so-called Indie Dance/Dark Disco scene plus some spot-on flirting with other genres such as House, Techno, and Trance. Sixtoagusto (SXDNS031), Diaz Tech (SXDNS089/FREEDL013), Mad Slow, Mverto Futura, Manu Barcelo (SXDNS344), Edd Brave (FREEDL033), Cali Burton, Seli (SXDNS360), Corresponsal, and Veltran (FREEDL050) are just a few of the names on board. 

For its next instalment, the rising imprint opens its doors one more time for the skilled Brazilian producer Lucas Novaes, who debuted on Kyma with a remix for Mad Slow’s “Detroit” released last year. For his forthcoming “Ganas” EP, the Paulista artist invited some interesting names for the remix duties: Ludmila Fuks (SXDNS361), Abby Knives (SXDNS299), Pvlomo (SXDNS098/FREEDL045), and Panko delivered shiny contributions to the EP.

Premiered here, the title track presents its credentials from the very beginning with its super fat bassline perfectly paired with rhythmic synth layers and stabs. The ominous vocal hooks, which cannot go unmentioned, deliver a stunning ghostly aura to the rich theme despite its minimalistic construction.

The second release on Samurai Music sub label Saibai welcomes Italian sound-world-builder Pianeti Sintetici for a richly rendered foray into dynamic electronica that moves like a set of vibrant ecosystems. 

Davide Perrone has developed his Pianeti Sintetici ('synthetic planets') alias to explore the idea of creating imaginary worlds through teeming, densely layered arrangements of modulating synthesis. He's previously delivered spellbinding albums and EPs to respected labels like Astral Industries and Hypnus. On 侍栽培二, Perrone ably blurs the lines between percussive, textural and melodic parts, letting voices bend and warp as each sound evolves through the labyrinthe lattice of his constructions. This is electronic music so dynamic and ever-shifting, it sounds positively sentient, and yet there's a strong emotional sentiment that binds these fantastic visions together as sincere expressions from a grounded, human perspective. 

True to Saibai's focus on deeper, mellower flights of fantasy away from the dancefloor, SAIBAI2 offers a kinetic, engaging listening experience dressed up in opulent tones that gleam, shimmer, bend and flex with hypnotising dexterity.

The new label owned by Mufti & Alf Champion presents it's first reference called Prima Legio, an 8 track VA showcasing some of the styles the label is going to be releasing.

First track comes by the Lithuanian prince Roe Deers with Gorilla Walk, a trippy and slowtempo opening track. Huge bassline, crazy harmonics and feedbacks, with a catchy melody.

Second we have in CELLA by Sequencers, a duo that is key to the electronic dance music scene in Guadalajara. They present a track with a fantastic sounding break beat, old tape recorded vocals, bouncy bassline and embracing atmosphere.

Third our Tel Aviv brother Eliezer teaming up with Alejandro Molinari on vocals. Altizachen keeps the broken beats vibe but entering a more acid, chaotic vibe. Acid basslines, fantastic fills, killer breaks and a sample of a mexican tamales vendor recorded by Id!r to make you feel lost inside Mexico City's streets.

Next it's time for Alf Champion, this crazy mexican half owner of the label gives us Drástico. A complex track filled with a wonderful bassline, distorted and stretched samples, catchy and happy trumpet melody perfect for giving a mood swift to the dancefloor.

Fifth is mexican new comer Alex Aguayo, with Texture a cosmic and powerful dancefloor gem. Arps, carchy guitar licks and a strong bassline that glues everything together.

On number six we have Canada's bad boy Safety Last. He presents Bronze a bomb filled with analog arps and heavy drops to rock the dancefloor.

Lucky seven is Italian stallion Amarcord, with a perfect rocker disco track, Bad Masters. Heavy bassline, mysterious pads, distorted vocals, big guitarlike synths to give that extra punch.

Finally we have Mufti to close this VA. He delivers FFPL, a club ready track with a driving bassline and heavy guitars.
