South African DJ Gandalf Grey was first introduced to the psychedelic trance scene at a Return to the Source party in London way back in‘97.Shortly after, he bought some turntables and taught himself to mix. He spent the next few years promoting and playing various clubs and squat parties in England and Wales, where he caught the ear of Alchemy Records label manager Shane Gobi, who signed him as a label DJ.

In 2005 he relocated back to South Africa and is currently based in Cape Town where he has built himself a solid reputation for playing cutting edge sets of phat, fresh and groovy, full power, daytime vibes with an oldschool psychedelic twist. He has become an outdoor festival favourite, regularly featuring on the line-ups of the biggest festivals and parties around, and has opened for and supported some of the top international acts in Psytrance.

Catch him at the Equinox Play Festival this weekend between 10:30 and 12:00 on Sunday!
