Ben Lukas Boysen AKA Hecq has a HIGHLY impressive 24 album discography that he's released over the last 15 years with a mash of techno, dubstep, ambient, IDM and neo-classical works. This borderline insane level of prolificness does not even cover singles, EPs, remixes or remix albums. In recent years he's been a luminary member of the neo-classical movement, becoming a key artist on the Erased Tapes roster and releasing music with contemporaries Nils Frahm, Max Cooper, Sebastian Plano, Tim Hecker and more. We are extremely pleased to present this rare and exclusive retrospective mix from a truly brilliant member of the electronic music community made specifically for FWD.DJ.

Dead Factory Winter Selections

Known for his iconic dark and dense drones, Sardinian sound sculptor Saffronkeira creates immensely beautiful and haunting soundscapes using an intimidating array of sources. His albums on Denovali are some of the finest on the imprint (and that's really saying something). This year he released his sixth full-length 'Automatism' exploring the subconscious processes of the mind. His exclusive mix for FWD.DJ contains cuts of some of today's finest ambient producers and is a collaboration with our friends at Quiet Calm Records.

Legendary soundscaper Bersarin Quartett graces us with a rare mix in celebration of both his fourth LP (released this month) and his upcoming performance at Saal 1 for the Denovali label night on the 23rd November in Berlin. The electro-acoustic and ambient world wouldn't be the same without the journeys that Bersarin Quartett has forged with his three LP's. This is FWD.DJ's third exclusive installment in our collaboration with Quite Calm records and Denovali Records and is a true listening pleasure.

FWD139 - BersarinQuartett

I’ve made a little ambient mix of some of my all time favourite peaceful music.

The mix was originally made for a clinical trial for people undergoing something of a reconstructive therapy. It was designed to repeatedly and slowly transition between relaxed reflection, and stimulation of new thoughts, running for a 2 hrs 30 mins session. You’ll probably hear what I mean in the structure.

It also includes some unreleased music of mine which hasn’t been heard before, alongside many of the most beautiful pieces I could find. I hope you enjoy it.
