Following a string of successful releases Krakota is back with a massive 14-track collection. ‘Strange System’ marries heavy distortion with razor-sharp clarity, crossing and colouring the black and white lines of drum & bass with his versatile style and slick production. In ‘Colour The Past’ Krakota simultaneously tugs at the heartstrings and hits hard in the face with vocals brought by new finding Karina Ramage. The French-Scottish-English songwriter was a surprise find by label boss Chris Goss as he discovered her busking on London’s South Bank. Another clear highlight is his partnering with our second label boss for ‘Powder Coated’ - the perfect mix of London Elektricity soul and Krakota power.

‘Half Life’ is a reminder back to the massive dancefloor damage caused by ‘Ice Hands’, ‘Ghosts’ and ‘Xylo’ last year. Its gritty split of siren calls and deep bouncing bass hits in all the right places. Krakota's musical edge shows in ‘Elastic’ with funk flare and horns hailing. ‘North Winds’ and ‘Turn of Fate’ blend arcade style synth work with crackles of white noise.

A consistently brilliant producer, Krakota’s carved out his own style over the past few years getting his name noticed on dancefloors around the UK and Europe. He's received support from the likes of BBC Radio 1's Friction and well remembered for his tear out live mix on BBC Radio 1Xtra's Soundclash in 2015. His solitary stance in the drum & bass world has been making waves and that’s sure to continue with his outstanding debut album ‘Strange System’.

As one of the founders of Japan’s drum & bass culture, Makoto is a man who needs little introduction. On his sixth studio album, ‘Tomodachi Sessions’, he presents 15-tracks of exquisite, sun-drenched drum & bass soul. Each and every track is a collaboration with a close friend, that has played a part in his twenty-year career, with the likes of DJ Marky, S.P.Y, Bop, MC Conrad, Pola & Bryson, Degs, Karina Ramage and more.

The uplifting summer number, ‘Shine On Through’ is a collaboration with the young breakthrough producer Mountain from Osaka, Japan. Makoto’s signature sound is brought into 2019, soaked in a warm rolling bassline, energetic synths and topped off with vocals from the outstanding singer/songwriter Karina Ramage.

The instrumental masterpiece ‘Kosa’ features Med School’s orchestral maverick Keeno and is the perfect combination of powerful soul, epic strings and dynamic drumwork.

‘Morning Sunrise’, is a majestic dose of drum & bass and is the team effort of Makoto, Danny Wheeler and G Force. It also brings in the vocal powerhouse Blu James, also known from the Basement Jaxx classic ‘Red Alert’.

Having gained respect for the quality of his music since the days of LTJ Bukem’s Good Looking Records, Makoto has gone from strength to strength with an impressive discography that includes seminal classics like ‘Golden Girl’ ft. MC Conrad. Makoto can be found at a number of events and festivals this summer, including Hospitality In The Park 2019, Sun & Bass, Liquicity, Standon Calling, and more.
