Deconstructed Censored features the song "Censored title"(track 7 out of LOGOUT's sophomore album "Little Things Buried in Concrete"), along with three different explorations using samples from the track.

These explorations aim at re-imagining possible soundscapes that can be built with simple gestures on the samples of a track (reversing, playing it half speed etc).

CENSORED TITLE (REV2X-U)

“Pessoan Odyssey” is the first single out of the forthcoming LOGOUT album N91°. It is accompanied by a lyric video by metaphorms. 
After two releases with Inner Ear Records in 2011 and 2013, N91° is LOGOUT’s first release with the NL-based indie label Tiny Room Records. N91° is the story of a desert-island outcast waking up in a sandy beach without any recollection of the past. Gradually he starts remembering what brought him there by the little things he finds on his torn clothes: A plane ticket, a hand-written note saying “love me like there’s no tomorrow”, a part of clothe from a kite. A motionless woman is lying close to him by the sandy beach. Logic and time unwinds as the accident returns to memory. In reality or in dream, the woman awakes and the two of them sail in wild waters beyond the 90 latitude parallels of the map. 
This story is composed through the accumulation of songs written by LOGOUT between 2007 and 2016, recorded in August 2016 in Amsterdam, NL. Main sound concept is the translation of folk and indie songwriting into minimalistic synth pop instrumentations at times dissolving into ambient soundscapes. The forthcoming album was mixed by LOGOUT between 2016 and 2018 and mastered by Dimitris Papadimitriou at Sweetspot Productions in Athens, GR in early 2018.

His homemade debut, “Paper Plane Flight Recorder”, made its maiden flight in 2011. This year LogOut returns with his second album, “Little Things Buried In Concrete”, produced by Hristos Lainas.

This time LogOut attempts with his songs a gradual descending under the strict concrete surfaces of our cities and our faces. The excavation trip of “Little Things Buried In Concrete” begins at the exterior surface, where "everybody lives in malls" and "everybody loves each other"(“Newspapers”) and passes through layers of consumerism(“Global Love”) and city isolation(“For You”) slowly descending towards the innermost hidden layers(“Censored Title”) all the way to the final cathartic plea towards Concrete(“Hymn To Concrete”- …Come on concrete, rain all over me…), which leaves behind only a tape of repeated declarations of love("…love you, I love you, I love you, I…”). 

The sound of “Little Things Buried In Concrete” will be a pleasant surprise to those who know LogOut from the bare ballads of “Paper Plane Flight Recorder”. The 10 new tracks were taken to the studio of Hristos Lainas where they were rebuilt with various ad hoc instrumentations and the contribution of guest musicians. The guitar and voice still have the leading roles but the acoustic atmosphere has given way to an electric sound. So the melodies and lyrics of LogOut have been charged with the intensity that was necessary for this album, while retaining the characteristic style of the artist. The mastering of the album took place in New York by Alan Douches.

“Little Things Buried In Concrete” is released in vinyl (including bonus cd) and digital album from Inner Ear.

Singer, songwriter and producer LOGOUT mixes folk songwriting with lo-fi indie, experimental and electronic instrumentations.   In live performances LOGOUT uses live-looping, samples, natural instruments and digital video art.   Up to date he has released three albums: Paper Plane Flight Recorder (2011), self-produced, and Little Things Buried in Concrete (2013), produced by Hristos Lainas, both released through the indie label Inner Ear Records and N91° released in May 2019, via the Dutch Indie label Tiny Room Records.   In September 2019, the recordings he did with the band The Place Within prior to his solo works, were also released as a Complete Recordings 2008-2010 compilation album.
