DETOXED was born during summer 2009. The purpose was simple. Playing Metal, both sophisticated and spontaneaous. Made of power and melodies, made of catchy choruses and break-neck riffage... Something that could be described as the missing link between In Flames and Strapping young Lad

Loïc Tézénas (guitar) quickly found the musicians who would be the guys of the situation. Here is the ultimate line up (sealed on July of 2010): Laurent ‘Styx’ Py (vocals). David Fantoni (guitar, backing vocals), Loïc Tézénas (lead guitar), Benoit Salaville (bass) & Camille Lecup (drums)

The engine is on. The fuel is burning. Rehearsals smell sweating animals and walls are trembling!

First act: Detoxed is recording demo songs for the EP to come. David Fantoni sits at the production chair. Here is how Detoxed feels Metal: relentless heavy but still melodic. Laurent Py explores new grounds with melodic lines when the songs need it, and the rest of the time, he sticks to his furious pissed-off vocals which already made his reputation.

After a few gigs in Montpellier with local bands (Veils of Perception, Antropofago, Fleshdoll, Grazed) it's time for DETOXED to release their first official CD. "It Was Written In Blood". 
Mixed and mastered by Brett Caldas-Lima at Tower Studio, this 4 tracks EP will be available on 2011, october 25th.
