This is a live version of a track by Katy Carr from her 2009 album 'Coquette'. I recorded it as part of her performance at the 2011 Exeter Fringe Festival.

This track in particular stuck with us for a good few days after the show because of its incredible story of a Polish P.O.W, Kazmierz Piechowski - 'Kazik', who boldly escaped from Auschwitz out the main gates by 'borrowing' and driving the SS Kommandant's prized car, dressed and disguised as an SS officer, having even to bark in German at the guard at the gate to let him through.

Orchidophile

Not a new track but just didn't get round to putting this up anywhere cos it never got finished off. But yeah, this was an idea I was messing around with a year or so ago in the summer having listened to some friends' productions. It's the nearest I've got to a legit dnb track and I'm pretty happy with some of the drums on this. 

The main synth uses an idea that I nicked from a video I watched, whereby you run the synth through guitar rig and use a midi synced talk wah pedal to modulate the sound, creating movement which is interesting and different to what you would get if you just modulated the filter cutoff as a lot of producers do. Not saying it's a masterpiece but it was a nice change to make and would definitely explore this technique again in the future. 

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, especially any dnb heads who can give me some guidance as to where I'm going wrong or right.

Ryan Francis Martin - Dewdrops

I went back to this track to try and improve on what i had done with it before as I wasn't entirely happy with how it turned out. Think this new mix has a lot more power to it, still a couple of performance things that it wouldve been good to sort out at the time but it's all experience. Pretty happy with how this has turned out compared to my mix about 2 years ago.
