Les musiques actuelles, mainstream ou alternatives, apparaissent plus que jamais parcourues par des identités territoriales fortes. Certains courants se sont peu à peu imposés au tout premier rang mondial par leur influence globale. Nous nous penchons sur l’origine culturelle et sociale de certains de ces phénomènes, de leurs racines traditionnelles jusqu’à leur apothéose sur les dancefloors occidentaux des années 2020.

Sweet Neurotoxin est une exploration sonore entre l'expérimental art rock des early eighties et des productions électroniques plus contemporaines. A la croisée de la Weird Wave, L'abstract pop, le post avant-garde, le leftfield electronica, le psych dub et autres beautés étranges, cette émission propose une sélection éclectique issue de ma collection personnelle. Inspirée par les sonorités qui nourrissent mes créations et rythment mes journées, Sweet Neurotoxin met en lumière des œuvres à savourer pleinement plutôt qu'à faire bouger les corps.

royalbrut is a shadowy duo from Bern, Switzerland, both of them involved in the art and music scene with various projects and pseudonyms. Under the moniker royalbrut they started out as a self-releasing duo, producing tracks that are blurry images of their daily and nightly routines.

Their sound is shaped by the many sides of their artistic world, from bass and dub to cold wave and punk, their music is rebel and raw.

✴️ Iffi's first appearance on 00effort grabs attention with "sommer," an infectious party starter blending post-trance melody with kuduro/batida influences. "grasshopper" follows with garage-infused IDM complexity, layering delicate marimba patterns and floating synths over skittering drums. "wow!" is where gqom meets leftfield, in a blissful, Boards of Canada type of soundscape with percussive rustles, field recordings and out-of-tune whistles. Each track maintains its distinctive identity while perfectly complementing the others, illuminating different corners of the same vibrant universe. 🏜️💫
