Argentinian DJ, producer and explorer of Latin American rhythms like cumbia, popular music of Argentina, and rock, mixes these with space sounds, electronica, and beat-making. His EP debut Le Soleil has crossed the border and is considered one of the best free discs of the year. In mid-2015 he released a disc edited by the “Frente Bolivarista” label which has continued to be played on stages in Brazil, Chile, and Argentina. 


Dj y Productor argentino, explorador de ritmos latinoamericanos como la cumbia, la música popular argentina y el rock, los que mezcla con sonidos del espacio, electrónica y beat-making. Sidirum Mixtape  021 - Festival Nomade

Derrok is the alias of 25 year old Chilean producer Joaquin Roca and the latest contributor to the Métron Musik Mixtape series. 13 is unlucky for some, but not us, as MMM:013 is a thin slice of Andean electronic goodness. I spoke with Joaquin about producing a mixtape, and we’re delighted that he’s chosen us to promote his latest works before he departs on an epic cycling trip across Chile.

Derroks sound is rich in detail and scope, balancing traditional latin themes and ancient ritualistic sounds with modern house and electronica, there’s also some unexpected and unusual diversions along the way. At it’s core though the music on offer here is tribal and rural sounding. It feels like taking a trip back in time to a more primitive and dynamic time in the human experience

Our second release is delivered by LOKD heads Dandara & Arutani, presenting a combination of two different worlds into one complete sound. An ethnic and tense atmosphere leads through the whole EP, peaking at the Matanza remix that takes us back to another time with its tribal flutes. 
Bernsteins remix approaches to a different dimension adding his signature spheres and melodies.
To top it of, they invited Berlin based legend Siopis to give the EP this special dance floor touch.

Dandara & Arutani - Desde Mayan (Matanza Remix)

Tamoanchan is a humble dedication to the people, the beauty, the landscapes and the the darkness of México. This music was written in and inspired by El Búho´s two years living in Mexico City and time spent travelling across the country. It´s sound encompasses cumbia rhythms, deep basses and wavering flutes alongside field recordings of crickets, forests and festivals. 

Cumbia de Totl or the cumbia of the owl narrates the journey out of Mexico City, rising above the mountains and into Mexico´s beautiful rolling landscapes. La Hora Más Oscura was written in the darkest hours of the night before dawn breaks at the Bahidora festival and is a dedication to the post-dancefloor. Noche Tepotzotlán, the sister track to Mañana Tepotzlan, was written on a return to the mythical town just outside of Mexico City but this time underneath the stars rather than as the dawn broke. Heroíca refers to Heroíca Veracruz the capital of one of the most troubled and violent states in Mexico but also one of the most historic and beautiful.
