3 QUESTIONS to PURPLEDISCOMACHINE:

Q: Talking about your mix, how did these early tracks influence your career? 

A: This mix is really special for me. It shows where I came from and what are my roots and influences. I´m a big fan of the 70s and 80s and especially the funk and soul area from these decades. I love artists such as George Benson, Prince, Sister Sledge or Commodores. Even in my own songs you will always find this type of music. Its groovy and funky and sometimes a bit cheeky. That´s what I love. 

Q: From Dresden to the world. Where´s your favorite spot to DJ?

A: There are a lots of amazing spots and venues around the world but South America is very special for me. Since the beginning of PDM most of my fans came from countries like Mexico, Brazil or Columbia. The music scene is still growing but the energy is overwhelming. People are not so jaded and know to party. It´s always inspiring for me to play there. 

Q: Which PDM releases are coming soon?

A: Since more than 2 years I worked on my debut album and I´m more than happy about this lil masterpiece is coming in summer, so stay tuned. Recently I made remixes for Jamiroquai, New Order and Gorillaz.
