Loliway Music is the nickname we gave for what we considered was a dream team collaboration between Chris Wilson and myself, Alison Blunt. As freelancers involved in many diverse music activities, we worked together for more than 2 decades arranging and recording songs and music for community and education projects and developed a truly life-enhancing, unique approach to producing tracks that animated and inspired chldren and adults alike.

In 2017 we completed arrangements, recordings and mixes for an album called 'Our Singing World'. OSW took us several years to complete and it was the first joint project that was our very own (not a commission). We planned it to be OSW:1 and to follow it up with several more, since we loved working together (and my lifetime collection of traditional songs from around the world is huge). 

However, since by nature we were both quite introverted and immersed in our creative activities and not at all the networking 'industry' type, we struggled to find advice and support to present the songs and make them available - whether this might be in book-with-CD/ CD-with-booklet/ bespoke songs-with-animation internet channel or other formats.

Chris died on the 20th January 2022. I am still absolutely dumbstruck by this.

Chris and I shared an understanding that guided our professional creative lives. Our experiences taught us both that music-making and engaging in music-related activities are essential human soul activities and that they have vast potential to bring about positive and often life-changing effects in the lives of individuals, families and communities.

It is likely that young children and their adults everywhere are deeply in need of emotional, psychological, social and spiritual healing. Singing, exploring sounds with instruments and other objects, dancing or all of these activities can contribute towards much-needed healing within individuals, family relationships and the wider family, namely  communities. Supporting these activities with high quality, creatively born, recorded music especially honed for participation can inspire engagement from babes-in-arms to grandparents and everyone in between.

Our Singing World song tracks were brought into existence with this intention. 

The life-changing effects that Chris had on so many students over several decades already contributes to his immortality. I would love for OSW to extend this.
