The eclectic musical project Fuzoku is back on track with another solid release ‘Noir’ inspired by cultural aesthetics that emerged in the 1980s / 1990s.

Nick Sabev (founding member) describes the original track composition as a ‘meditative & transcendental piece that brings me back to the early rave days and the after-hours where movies such as Twin Peaks, X-Files and Atom Egoyan’s Exotica were broadcasted in dark and hazy rooms.

What a journey this release has been – what an honour to have all these amazing Japanese artists on remix duties.’ At the forefront of the remix list, there is one of the longest running DJ’s on the Tokyo club circuit – DJ Wada, followed by Kensuke Fukushima, Hiroyuki Arakawa, Takashi Watanabe & lefthandsoundsystem.

Massimiliano Pagliara is a longstanding figurehead amidst Berlin electronic music culture. He has worked tirelessly across many years to establish himself as one of the most innovative figures in house and techno having been a resident at Panorama Bar for a significant period of time. As a producer he has released music on the likes of Live at Robert Johnson, Meakusma, Ostgut Ton, Cocktail d'Amore and more. 

He has also recently launched his own record label in the form of Funnuvojere Records, an imprint which has risen in prominence and looks set to blossom and grow across the coming years with a hell of a lot of releases lurking just around the corner. 

We invited him to talk about it and deliver a mix which he does so in fine form.

In October 2006 the first record was released on Lomidhigh Lmtd by Jay Haze . 2 years, and a few Lomidhigh Lmtd releases later, we made it a bit more exciting by starting two new Lomidhigh labels up, Lomidhigh Unlmtd and Lomidhigh Organic. Sub label Choice Cuts has put us back to the limited to vinyls only again. Changing Pieces is a Remix Label which remixes the A side ...wonder how the tracks will sound after a few remixes :)  ... We will add samples and put up some lovely Lomidhigh Mixtapes for you to listen to
