After years of making music for others, Shai Pinto and Orian Rose formed 'lomipo' to express their own musical Identity. Each one of them brings his world to create lomipo's unique sound; Shai as a songwriter for Israel’s top singers and Orian as an emerging drummer in the New York jazz scene.

Shai and Orian grew up in two very different environments. Shai had spent his childhood next to his entire family in Haifa, a city that prides itself with coexistence of Arabs and Jews; Orian’s family traveled the world through Europe and India where he learned his first instrument, the Tablas.

“This is about making the music that we like the most and putting ourselves out there” Orian says, “We are influenced by many different artists so we don’t want to be defined by a specific genre” Shai adds, ”This is the start of the road and we hope that we’ll get to follow it wherever it takes us”.
