Consistently unearthing a hotbed of new talent, Hot Creations next release is Back To The Music from DJ and producer Sooney. The release features two original tracks and a stellar remix from one of the biggest names in dance music, Route 94.

Title track Back To The Music is an exhilarating record shaped through melodic synths and keys alongside a sharp bassline. Route 94 strips back his remix to the bare groove. While the chugging beats of Afraid Of The Dark bring the release to an accomplished close.

London based Sooney fell in love with house, hardcore & jungle in the early 90's. In 2015 he set up his own label, Take Control Records, gaining support from the likes of Shadow Child, Jamie Jones and Gorgon City to name a few. Since being discovered by the Hot Creations family, Sooney’s sights are firmly set on big things for 2017.

Fellow UK artist Route 94 shot into the limelight in 2012 with chart success and has since gone on to appear on labels including Virgin, Defected and Crosstown Rebels, and work with major names like Katy B and Jess Glynne.

Burgeoning DJ and producer Bontan makes his debut on the notorious Hot Creations label. Hotly anticipated, the release features two original cuts to fuel his rising profile.

UK based Bontan has been using title track The First Time as his secret weapon for the last six months and is now finally unleashing it. “I’ve been testing it and tweaking it play by play!’ he explains. ‘The vocal compliments the rolling bass melody and gives it a darker edge”. This a producer who fully understands how to create a track for a heaving dancefloor. Personal Question is the second cut and flips the mood entirely with a twisted vocal entwined in beeps and percussion, whilst stirring the sentiments of lost early hours.

A firm favourite in the underground scene, he has built a solid reputation with releases on Circus Recordings, 20/20 Vision, and Cajual among others.

Following the success of ‘Vamp’ last year, Rejected co-boss Edwin Oosterwal returns to the controls for two more pristine, floor-focussed late night grooves.

First up is a homage to Chicago’s deepest foundations and the warehouse-shaking legacy of Jesse Saunders’ Dance Mania. Lean and direct; “Bleep” is all about the relentless jack, palpitating sub and crazed lead tone that tweaks and freaks with visceral effect. Its minimal construction but hooky riff ensure slay-status at festivals and Ibiza this summer.

As with previous Oosterwal dispatches, contrast is key. Keeping his sound firmly in the US but travelling due west to Jersey, the warm organ-primed tones of ‘Babe’ soothe the ‘Bleep’-sizzled edges of our soul as a driving, loopy vocal sample and shimmering synths develop more and more momentum, developing into a deep hypnotic heads-down groove.

Consummately covering two completely different shades of the night with two cuts beginning with B, Edwin has delivered some A* cuts right here. Reject them at your peril.

Fresh from his Boiler Room debut in Madrid last month, the Swiss DJ and producer Andrea Oliva makes his debut on Hot Creations with We Trust. Having built a solid reputation through relentless touring and a string of impressive releases, Oliva delivers two original cuts showcasing his skillful production.

The driving and incredibly infectious title track We Trust uses all of the techniques required for a club classic; a looping vocal layered over charged drums, culminating in a fearless breakdown. On the reverse, Soho Nights delivers a hook so catchy it’s a certified Ibiza classic in the making.

Oliva’s journey began at a young age, educating himself in record shops and eventually teaming up with Nordstern founder, Agi Isaku, hosting the successful Banditz parties throughout Switzerland.

A firm favourite in the Ibiza scene, Oliva’s remix of Luciano’s Rise Of Angels on Cadenza catapulted him into the global spotlight and releases on Moonharbour, Desolat, Objektivity and Cuttin’ Headz soon followed.

Belgium based Say What? Recordings is run by prolific producer Ramon Tapia, which he established back in 2012. It’s back with a bang this year, with their next offering in 2017 with the “Surrender” EP.

The second release on the label for 2017 comes from Ramon Tapia himself and Rik Watts. The duo saw their first release as a collab project earlier this year on Gem Records with their highly acclaimed “Snuss” EP.

The original mix “Surrender” has a thumping low end, with a strong kick drum and swinging percussion with a hint of funkiness. The echoing vocal stabs lighten up the tone, reminiscent of terrace tech house vibes at its best.

Ramon brings a solo production to the EP with “Thrust”. With a clean kick and rumbling bassline, topped off with filtering synth lines throughout the track, this one is set to go off, day or night.

The remix on this EP comes from Birmingham based Kikdrm. Now solo, but originally known as one half of the duo TN.T - his first Say What? EP was released back in January this year. The UK producer, shows his style with a chilled day time groovier re-work of the original.
