This first track is a cover, because I'm the type of scaredy-cat who needs to wade into the water slowly. The original song is from Radiohead's eighth album, The King of Limbs. The original is a slowburner of a piano tune, eventually swelling into full instrumentation with help from the London Philharmonic Orchestra. I was very inspired by Daft Punk's third album, Human After All, as I was working on this. The amount of emotion they squeeze out of vocoded "robot voices" seemed like a great challenge, and a great way to hide my awfully unpracticed singing voice. I'm very interested in working with some of my theatre friends from high school who have been sharpening their vocal tools for years sometime in the future.

Leitmotif for Leaving

Thanks for hosting this competition!  It was a fun race against the clock between my day job and other creative endeavors, but I'm pretty happy with the final product and animations.
