Italian upstart Kiu D serves up a three course banquet of high cholesterol edits. For starters we're presented with a heart-attack inducing deep fried platter of greasy synths as Rocker's Revenge's "Walking On Sunshine" gets the full fat treatment. For mains we're served "Disco Brains"; the audio equivalent of a 20oz steak, it has the juiciest, rarest boogie bassline this side of Manhattan. For dessert we're treated to the sweetest of treats as the smooth-yet-unrelenting "Calm Before The Storm" ebbs and flows softly thanks to lavish piano strokes and a peppering of syrupy jazz elements. What a feast. What a debut release.

Midland marked the maiden voyage on his ReGraded imprint only two months ago, with his Double Feature EP. Without a second to lose, the second release is set to go, with newcomer Hubie Davison and his Sanctified EP now at the helm. The title track has become a staple of Midland's sets throughout summer, with it first entering our radars during his BR x Dekmantel set (check the exact moment it dropped here). Satisfaction so deep, it prompted Midland to contact Hubie to see if he'd consider releasing it on ReGraded. Though the label may still be in its infancy, the calibre exemplified in this second release proves it to be unparalleled.

Here is an exclusive re-production of the hit track "Pani Da Rang" featuring the late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan by KINGH, a California based music producer and multi-instrumentalist. KINGH was honored by being selected to do one of the last Friction Labs ever on the BBC Asian Network - Bobby Friction Show in mid-October. His task was to re-produce - Pani Da Rang, composed by Ayushmann Khurrana and Rochak Kohli (Vicky Donor), into a completely new style within one week. 

KINGH is a U.S. residing music producer, multi-instrumentalist, disc jockey, and performer. Born and raised in Nigeria, Africa, KINGH started his training in tabla at a very, very young age. After over a decade of intense classical training from several Ustads, including Arshad Hussain and Ustad Bhai Baldeep Singh, KINGHpicked up the Dhol and started training under World famous Ustad Lal Singh Bhatti in both folk and classical styles. In North America, Ajit has tremendous exposure and experience in both the Indian classical and folk music.

KINGH inspirations include the late Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, late Kuldip Manak, Wadali Brothers, and Hans Raj Hans, to name a few. KINGH passion for music led him to start Djing and remixing when he was 16, and eventually into production. He  released his first debut single with vocalist and sister, Harleen Singh, titled "Leja Kite Door." This was released early 2012 on the album "Kalikwest Connected Vol. 1" featuring top producers and singers from around the world. He looks to continue his production career by combining Eastern music styles - Sufi, Punjabi Folk, Indian Classical - with popular Western styles. Along with his debut single, Ajit recently released "Amb Da Bass" as a tribute to Kuldip Manak, along with "Panjabian Da Dhol (Ajit Singh Dholstep Remix)," where he carefully combined strict Punjabi rhythms with accents of Dubstep. KINGH looks to influence the world of music as his inspirations have.
