Led by wild and captivating front-man Fred Farrell, “Saytr Play have a burgeoning reputation for delivering a live show that’ll leave your jaw on the floor, ears begging for more” (This Feeling, Gigslutz). Over the past few years the band have sold-out several headline shows at some of Manchester’s most iconic music venues as well as appearing at YNot?, Kendal Calling, 110 Above. Receiving playlisting from Radio X, Spotify (New Music Friday UK, Hot New Bands, Indie List) Amazing Radio and BBC introducing, the band have racked close to two million streams on Spotify & a dedicated fanbase. 

Following their hiatus, Saytr Play returned this year with ‘The Butterfly Stitches EP’ amassing over 200,000 streams on Spotify (Editorial backing on New Music Friday UK and Fresh Finds), BBC Introducing support, playlisting on XS Manchester and national radio coverage on Radio X. Off the back of this success, Saytr Play sold out their headline show at Manchester's Deaf Institute a month in advance. Recent single ‘Brother (YKTDY)’ led to a session for BBC Introducing, continued features on national radio and Spotify editorial playlisting on the flagship ‘Fresh Finds’ playlist with over 2 million followers. 

Saytr Play release Falling Out Of Love on the 10th November, taken from their forthcoming ‘Life in Black and White EP’.  Highlighted by shimmering synths and driving guitars, Falling Out Of Love is an energetic indie pop track. 

“Behind the upbeat instrumentation the song itself touches on that point in a break up where you realise it isn’t meant to be. Our lyrics are always based on experiences we have lived and we hope you feel that. Enjoy!”

After spending the better part of two years on the road opening for La Dispute, Tegan and Sara, and more, Chicago based Pictoria Vark revisits her debut single, "I Can't Bike" from The Parts I Dread, with a remix from Get Better Records label mate, Teenage Sequence. The London-based artist puts a lighthearted, New Wave spin on the breezy lead single.

 

"Pictoria Vark is such a great storyteller, and 'I Can’t Bike' instantly captivated me. I totally fell in love with the track and the bass line — it’s so powerful and driving, but holds everything together perfectly, almost like something Peter Hook would do, which led to me thinking, 'what if New Order wrote this song?' and that’s what I tried to do,” says Dewan-Dean Soomary, aka Teenage Sequence, on the inspiration for this remix.
