Advice for the DJs, producers and artists of our community: If you take yourself seriously as an artist then by definition you are a “serious artist.” Try not to let commerce depower art in your life. Music is about making art powerful in your own life. Focus on your private practice first, and then focus on making your music meaningful in the lives of others. That’s the natural way of things. Invest in the idea that your friends are special and talented and then create together. Don’t wait for others to acknowledge your work before you take yourself seriously.

Centered around the trio of Free Weed, Jerry Rogers, and Totally You, The Stoners "On Gnar Tapes" is a lo-fi psych freak beat tape inspired by "The Pod"-era Ween, Butthole Surfers' song "Pepper", early 90's Memphis rap, and Madchester.
