Lonzo, a young, up-and-coming artist from Portland, ME, has earned the respect of local electronic music heads in just a short period of time. His sounds of choice range from chest-pulsating bass weight, to mind-bending acid stabs, to intricate percussive melodies. Originally a drummer in his early teens, he has carried these skills through to mixing and production, and his selections reflect the prowess of a seasoned and honed ear.
Originally hailing from Athens, in the woods of Central Maine, he moved to Portland in 2010, and discovered electronic music through his sister, performance artist Aquarius Funkk. With her push in the right direction, as well as the guidance of a handful of local DJ talent, he began to sift through the multitude of genres and sounds. Breaks, House, Drum n' Bass, Dubstep, and Techno are all in his rotation, and despite minimal experience playing for a crowd, he can read a room like a pro. Having fully immersed himself in the technical side of the craft, all of his free time is dedicated to further developing the talent he naturally possesses.
Constantly growing, expanding and curating, you can expect to see big things from Lonzo!
