I know what you’re thinking. Because I’m thinking the same. I know what you’re thinking. Because it’s written all over your face.

Strike me deaf from that song amongst the waves. If it hasn’t already taken hold of me. I hate this so much because I need it more than anything.

The boys in the Madison-based metalcore quintet Look, I'm Burning are proof that dairy is not the only notable export coming out of Wisconsin. Already having released an EP and a full length record with producer Joel Wanasek (Good Fight Music, Universal Records), the band is poised to take the nation and the world by storm not only through their extensive recording experience but also by their pulse-pounding live show. "We all want to make music our lives," guitarist/singer Matt Tyler said in a recent interview, "We had to wait a long time before we played shows because we wanted to come out sounding the very best we possibly could." That meant spending an exorbitant amount of money on the very best gear, merchandise and recordings so they could come to every show and tour fully capable of leaving a lasting impression with their audiences.

Aside from keeping their feet in the roots of breakdown metalcore, Look, I'm Burning prides itself on crafting creative chords over an intelligent and relentless rhythm section. This produces a more full sound and provides an opposite and more melodic side to their music. Throw in mind blowing tapping, sweeping and solo riffs and Look, I'm Burning starts to round out its sound. In addition to their musicianship, the versatility of screamer Brandon Connor is instantly made apparent upon the first listen to the title track of Look, I'm Burning's full length release, This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things. His brutal lows, guttural mids and piercing highs mix extremely well with Matt Tyler's angelic singing. Ashley Pagano of ShredNews.com writes that "a lot of bands out there now have screamers where it just gets repetitive and boring, but not with this band, that's for sure." She also adds that "the band has an awesome sound and feel" and "it's surprising that the band has yet to be discovered."
