Burning Man didn't happen this year. There weren't 20,000 people in the desert who built a city, did some art, and shared a community based on principles and joy. Nope, definitely none of that. And this certainly wasn't a set I played under a beautiful shade structure to a packed house on a wild Friday night, so don't get the wrong idea when you listen to it. This never happened.

For the 15th Annual Opulent Temple Wednesday night Sacred Dance event at Burning Man (aka, the 'white party'), we were lucky enough to be invited to host it at Playground since OT didn't produce our usual mega dance floor. 

It was a gorgeous night and their set up included a familiar fire in the round feel.   With the dance floor already packed and energy high I did not go for the slow beginning that ramps up but pretty much jumped right in to stompers with fun and power.   As a post playa listening experience these sets don't always translate since you can't match the electricity of the desert.  These playa sets for me are always intended to cover range and touch base with lots of places low and high, playful and deep inside you. 

So here it is live and raw, just like it happened that night.  Hope it takes you back.

We had some technical difficulties and the power cut out at 2:09:50 The rest of the mix from that point on is the restart until the power cut again and we ended )'(

Loopacabra is an interstellar electronic musician, DJ, and party animal who is here to help you dance your way to the next level of your life. Loopacabra is known for his high energy mainstage music and electric performances.    He is from a culture of DJs, promoters, and performers creating a thriving dance music scene on the west coast of the U.S. He is a founder and leader of the Crystal Groove mutant vehicle Burning Man camp.  
Loopacabra produces house music to make you dance.  In 2018 he released Supes Coze, his first full length album, representing his awakening into the world of house music.  He followed this up with a second full-length effort, Sacred Sauce, in 2020.  In 2021, Loopacabra started an ongoing collaboration with renowned DJ / producer Mienne and the pair released several tracks on bass house heavyweight labels Muzenga Records and G-Mafia Records.  Loopacabra is excited to share the arsenal of new tracks he has in the pipeline for 2022.
