Vol I is where the story begins. This tape represents the raw early energy of the movement. The late night sessions the crowded rooms the hunger in every verse. Artists from around the Texas region came together and created something real something that kept us focused and kept us moving toward a better path.

Every track on Vol I carries a piece of that foundation. The grind. The tension. The fun. The pain. The unity. This was a time when the music kept us out of trouble and kept us connected to something bigger than the streets. Vol I shows the roots of Jakka Music and the early rise of the Froggtown sound.
