Gabriele Poso is back with 2 special remixes for the club off of his LP 'Tambor Infinito' single "La Bola." Dodi Palese brings us to 80's Italo-Disco House with arpeggio bass-line & staccato keys giving an "I Feel Love" feeling laced with Gabriele's heavy Afro-Latin percussion.  Quincyatwork drops a remix with a classic house feel, bouncing keys & basslines, an end to Summer anthem for beach parties & clubs.

First mentioned around 2012, the name Modern Trash Quartet initially served as a repository for ideas and jams that producer Felix Elbert, aka Lokke, recorded with friends in his studio.
Most of these rough sketches were one-take recordings with bass, guitar, and keys on drum loops from flo könig. The projects soon gathered dust on the hard disk because they were poorly recorded, contained mistakes, or were simply never fully arranged. When saxophonist Chris Schock, with whom Lokke had been playing in various live projects for years, started playing melodies over the unfinished projects, it turned out that the most interesting parts of these songs were the little mistakes, the "garbage" of these sessions.

Out of this creative process, Modern Trash Quartet emerged as a catchall for all the jams that were flawed but still compelling. Even though the quartet doesn't aim to create jazz, the genre always smuggles itself back into their music .
They've so far made contributions to 2 compilations (Fela Tribute and Sun Disturbance), prior to their debut EP, "Smuggle Jazz," which we have the honour to release with them. Smuggle Jazz consists of 3 dancefloor ready tracks fused with funk, acid jazz and disco and two ! Stay tuned for an expanding sonic journey from this dynamic and genre-defying ensemble!

Nathan Haines single ‘Just Holdin’ On’ featurs New Zealand-based vocalist / visual artist Eo (Badcrop / The Grow Room), showcasing the varied moods of the new album 'Notes'.

Nathan Haines & producer Phil Asher would often include mid-tempo “listening” tracks to break up the pace of an album. With its slower tempo and chilled hip-hop beats, ‘Just Holdin’ On’ brings Eo’s laid back, soulful vocal delivery to the front, while Haines’ saxophone & flute melodies are dripping in longing and yearning. 

Built around a beautiful chord progression from Michal Martyniuk on Rhodes, Nathan enlisted Marc Mac (4 Hero) to add some Visioneers-era boom bap beats, which laid the foundation for the spoken word delivery of Eo (Ethan King). The result showcases another side of Haines’ composition & production style on this album. 

Notes is Haines’ 11th studio album set for release August 9.

Ponsaing’s versatile style offers resonances in many different genres, although a dominant influence is taken from the Brazilian genres of samba and bossa nova, gestured also by the title ‘Seu Coração Falar, meaning “your heart speaks” in Portuguese.
 
In addition to his work as a producer, Ponsaing forms half of the electronic duo Subnesia alongside Michael Rune, who are currently working on their second album.

David Benjamin (Noema, Magic Jams) is a DJ, producer, guitarist, and label head from Berlin. You may remember Noema's legendary tribute edit of Ata Kak's ‘Daa Nyinaa’ and the wicked re-rubs of Eddie C, Axel Boman and Soft Rocks. He has released and worked with Apparat, Dj Dixon, and Basement Jaxx as well as underground heroes Lauer, Kalabrese, Shubostar, O/Y, Acid Pauli, Auntie Flo, Dreems, Khidja, Panthera Krause and Mehmet Aslan. Over 25 years of DJing, he has mastered the ones and twos refining his craft during his 10-year residency at Berlin institution Wilde Renate. While Noema focuses on contemporary electronica and leans towards the psychedelic, Magic Jams has a more acoustic sound inspired by dusty crate digging, the African diaspora, cosmic disco, and Balearic beats. David also runs the Magic Movement label and has released music by artists Nicola Cruz, Axel Boman, Dengue Dengue Dengue, Xique-Xique, and Eddie C.

On this killer vinyl only release you’ll find two funky disco weapons on the A, played with a full band set-up and reworked by Magic Jams, while on the flip, Noema presents a more cosmic disco drop featuring dazzling synths and some delectable drum programming.
