Music has always fascinated me. Since I’m a child I've always dealt intensively with music across many genres. Whether it was punk, indie, synth-pop, psy-rock or rap. Electronic dance music, especially techno, captivated me in a very special way for several reasons. It creates an atmosphere over a longer period of time that can tell whole stories, no mere stringing of songs with pauses in between – one thing I love about DJing. Plus, of course, come together and dance in beautiful spaces that I've experienced in countless club nights in Berlin.

For my current style of DJing, I’m focusing on a high tempo, a rolling yet precise beat and a selection of driving and hypnotic as well as some sort of groovy sounds, which can also be found in this mix.

In addition to my solo project as Nona, I'm also part of re:flect, a multidiscilinary music and art collective that just has been founded and is gonna start on the 10th of June. So stay tuned ;)
Furthermore I'm one half of the DJ-duo Xonic.

For me, techno is not just about DJing and dancing, it's political. It offered and is still offering opportunities to create places of freedom of expression where alternative cultures and identities come together creating new spaces of experience that the world urgently needs. Never forget where techno came from and what values it stands for! <3

This week we have the rising star that is Faster Horses. He has been totally killing it since his first release only just a few months ago, and has dialed in his signature sound early on. His new project Seikan has just came to life with an impressive roster full of anthemic bangers, namely his own track 'Transitional Outerwear' which didn't take long to make it's way through the sound system of several clubs after the release went public. Born and raised in southern Italy, Jacom is an emerging techno DJ and producer based in
Zurich. In 2006, he fully dedicated himself to electronic music, which quickly brought him
behind the decks. When he moved to Zurich in 2012, his career took an exponential
upswing. 2016 the talented Italian became a member of the renowned label Adroit and has
been an integral part of the collective ever since. In addition to numerous performances in
Italy (e.g. Amnesia Milano, Cosmic Festival) and throughout Switzerland, Jacom has also
demonstrated his skills in other European countries. Thus, Berlin is also one of his
achievements, where he played in well-known venues such as Anomalie, Aeden or About
Blank.
Jacom is characterized by his groovy and hypnotic sets, which is reflected in his productions. The latest EP "Mind" (with remixes by Kaiser and Vsk) hit immediately and received support
from notable artists like Richie Hawtin, Joseph Capriati or Perc. Jacom still has a lot of big things in his pipeline, so be sure to keep an eye on him!

Faster Horses is a producer, DJ and Live Act based in Liverpool, UK. His productions focus on the faster side of electronic music, channeling inspiration from the Copenhagen scene as well as 90s techno and trance. His DJ sets are untamed and energetic, blending multiple genres with ease, energy which he carries into his live sets, with his own productions. 

He is the creator of @seikanlabel, a young label aiming to promote up and coming artists in the techno and trance scenes. With one well received VA already released, their second will be a vinyl compilation, with a heavy hitting lineup of artists who have releases on labels such as Monnom Black, Voxnox and Mama Told Ya.
