Alan Fitzpatrick’s record label We Are The Brave welcomes a new jackin' techno EP from Manchester producer Rudosa.

A prominent figure among Manchester’s new generation of techno protagonists, Rudosa aka Mark Bradbury has become a household name in the Hard Techno scene. Since the release of his career-defining cut ‘Obsolescence’ in 2019, he has developed and refined his sound, arriving at his current style, which splices '90s and early 2000s influences with tribal-esque percussion for maximum impact at peak-time. Renowned for his seamless productions, Rudosa’s past releases have landed on labels such as Second State, Terminal M and Soma Records as well as his own ’Moments In Time’ imprint.

Rudosa latest release explores his deeper side, blending raw funk with analogue sounds and immersive atmospherics to create a perfect Hard Groove EP.

“Back In The Day” is an upbeat track with fast-flowing rhythms, jazzy pads and muffled vocals that combine to create an upbeat groove. “Naughty Pleasure” is tribal techno with a timeless '90s influence with looped vocal phrases, offbeat synth stabs and relentless energy. “Fresh” has a hypnotic synth line and thrashing percussion layered with a punching kick drum and vocal stabs. “Iota” closes out the release with a dark and stripped-back groove with menacing synths and building suspense.

E-HRZN Records is delighted to announce the release of the “Primary Funktion LP” by PS11. This 16-track release features eight original tracks by PS11, each of which draws inspiration from classic 90’s techno while simultaneously maintaining a contemporary feel.

The eight original tracks capture the essence of this fast-rising producer’s sound: an infusion of expertly layered percussive elements and vocal samples, energetic, evolving synthesizers, and a prioritization on the dance floor through heavy, pulsing bass and deep grooves.

To round out the album, each original track by PS11 has been remixed by hand-selected artists from around the world. Each of the remixers leave their own unique imprint on the album, creating a truly dynamic soundscape which encompasses everything from raw, fast-paced hip-shakers, to deep, hypnotic grooves, to breathtaking, ethereal moments.

The “Primary Funktion LP’ will be released September 8, 2023, on Bandcamp and September 15, 2023, on all other platforms. We hope you enjoy.

⇸ Our second year at Sisyphos was absolutely phenomenal. We took to The Tunnel floor then the Hammahalle main room for a total of 14 hours in August 2023. Axon, then Tom Baker & Jedidiah captained the Tunnel, then Vorpal and I led the Hammahalle for the closing session of the weekend. It's an incredible honour to play at this club, and especially to be granted a showcase for Stone Seed and SixthSense Australia.

I love curating my set specifically for the time and place, so this slot was perfect for me to delve into a generally heavier, filthier, and quicker side of my DJ explorations... of course, with a dose of soul.

"Seeking to find the intersection between the artistic disciplines of musical production, urbanism and vandalism, the concept of Gruvalism was born, a point of intersection where each of these forms of expression converge to unite in giving focus to pieces of intimately connected with the culture of electronic music, metropolis architecture and street art. Inspired by "Pichação" or "Pixo" style graffiti. Pichação is a form of urban visual art, performed illegally, that was born as such in São Paulo in the 1980s. In addition, it uses a unique typography in the world. It is distinguished by two special characteristics: it has a peculiar topography and, on the other hand, it is carried out in high areas that are very difficult to access. It is also characterized by its clandestine nature, the mostly humble and marginal origin of the majority of its practitioners, the illegibility of the characters used, its danger (since on many occasions the "pichadores" risk their lives by climbing buildings without any type of security) and the controversy generated by the pichação itself, with defenders and detractors within the artistic world."

Rocko Garoni has been socialised by Bremen's Drum 'n Bass scene and the Berlin Techno from thelate 90s. Well experienced, he transfers his sounds into future - raw, trippy and driving. Starting his career in the early 2000s as a DnB vinyl DJ, he often melds Breaks and straight Techno.With his positive energy and his charismatic sounds he shakes every venue. With CDJs and also turntables, he loves to test out musical boundaries.
While leaving his mark on almost every puzzle piece in the scene, Rocko also started as a music producer. During the last five years he turned his sound to his favorite likes. As a gear freak Rocko discovers always a new way to create his kind of Techno. His releases are signed on Second State, Etruria Beat, Odd Recordings, Tresor Records.
