Our fifth and final release of the year is here. AFTAHRS provides 3 original tracks which are perfect for all occasions. Inspired by his travels to different cities throughout the year and playing alongside some great artists within the scene he dedicates this project to his home town of Birmingham, hence the title 'Mid-Landz'.

The first track of the ep consists of hypnotic pads, city textures and a laid back bassline creating a solid opening for the project. One of our favourites for the year and undoubtedly yours too..

Next the track 'Club Use' does exactly what it says on the tin. Heavy low ends, wonky percussion and flowing pads make it a huge beat for the peak time antics. Supported by swinging drum patterns and short chord stabs this track is no joke.

Finally, 'Pattern 64' rounds the ep off nicely with a more stripped back feeling. Strong textures, modular bleeps and of course a solid kick drum to keep the energy high. Short rolling bass notes can be found throughout accompanied by uplifting melodic elements making it ideal for an occasion.

Long standing Mint resident and a familiar face amongst the Leftback crew. Annie Errez has solidified her place as one of the finest DJ's to come out of the North of England.   

Holding her own with some of the biggest selectors in the game, it's no wonder why her name is so prevalent around the UK. 

Supporting the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Seth Troxler, tINI, Zip & FUSE London, Annie really has a wealth of experience in the music business. 

As well as an established DJ, Annie is also no stranger to music production. With releases on Rich NXT's, Whats NXT and Dudley Strangeways' Leftback imprint, her minimalistic style is well suited to the music she plays out. 

Annie recently remixed a collaborative project from Duddley Strangeways & Mortlyf on Leftbacks new sub label 'Intercities'. Full of low end goodness and modulating pads, she really has put her own stamp on the release. 

Annie has kindly blessed us with 90 minutes of unreleased music, some which is soon to be released!

Track 1: System Glitch sets the pace of the release. Tight drum work, rolling basslines and modular soundscapes really shine in the track with a warped pad gliding in and out, adding more atmosphere. Perfect for those after-hour terrace sessions.

Track 2: Quantum is a heavy hitter! Deep low end and big drum patterns are noticeable in this track. A warped vocal that pops in and out adds an extra mood and slots in nicely with the other elements. This one is a favourite of ours.

Track 3: Midnight Line rounds the release up with modular bass stabs, field recordings and more solid drum work. A more laidback feel but no doubt will find its way to a dance floor.

We hope you enjoy this release as much as we do!

Release date is scheduled for Autumn 2020 and has already received some great feedback from some of our favourite artists.
