on their journey into sonic fiction, Arcane Patterns returns with "Ground Poetics". The 4-track remix EP of the label‘s first release „When Grounds Shift“ by aphtc, featuring remixes by NYC based producer Kellen303, Berlin's bass innovator Orson, and AP founders Kl.ne and CRΞSC.

By reconstructing the post-jungle inspired aphtc tracks from 120 to 140 bpm, the artists reinterpret low freq sound system music informed by visceral body politics, a sardonic sense of doom, and post-pandemic futurism.

The 3rd label release is available digital and on vinyl in a limited hand-stamped white label edition.

Transmitting from the Bay Area, Farsight has previously released on Scuffed Recordings, WILE OUT, [Re]sources, and more recently Maloca Records with his first vinyl release ‘Not Here, But Somewhere’ which is rooted in heavy Latin rhythms and weighty bass - a release that comes hotly tipped from us. His music is influenced by the UK’s hardcore continuum, trap, jersey club, dancehall, and reggaeton. And outside of music, Farsight draws inspiration from the San Geronimo Valley where he spends most of his time working on music, hiking, and reading about abstract art, most notably Willem De Kooning. The idea for his Maloca Records release is that there is a ‘space for each artist’ which can be taken both in a literal sense - one’s physical environment - and ‘also in the figurative sense that there is enough room for the ideas of all artists, who are kindred spirits in the endeavor of radical self-expression’. This translates through to his mixes which paint the picture of his global influence.

For No.11 of our mix series, we welcome @shubzin bossman and all-round hero @osckins. He's somebody who fully embodies the Unbound spirit, with his label Shubzin using music to create positive change - they've put out three name-your-price compilations in a year, with donations going to a range of charities.

His musical selections are similarly open-minded, splicing together numerous genres with signature flair and demonstrating his range with shows on Vandelay and Netil Radio. He's put together a madcap hour of jungle, footwork and more for us, smoothly gliding through different moods, never letting it get too overwhelming.
