Syrinx Music steps up with its first 2024 release, in the form of a new EP from Paris-based producer, lucieter. Taking cues from her works in visual arts, lucieter’s music feels both oneiric and poetic, here expressed through the menacing tones of 'Les Ciels', looking upwards with fear and intrigue.

I wanted to show my appreciation for dancefloor-focused club music with more an emphasis on bass-heavy styles connecting the links between disparate genres to create a mix that sonically makes sense. I love Mixing genres such as Tech House & Techno whilst also playing Drill and Dubstep, there are links everywhere you just have to find them, the rest will follow.

I think my earliest memories are listening to Hardcore tapes from raves my parents used to go to as well as my dad's pals mixes, my whole childhood has been electronic music. My understanding of the music came from a very wholesome place but being young and  raised in a farming town I was cut off from these scenes. Getting the chance as I've grown older to live in different cities I have jumped at the chance to experience different music scenes whether it has been in  Hull,Newcastle or now London.

I started producing about 11 years ago now, my process has changed multiple times since then. I don't come from a musical background which has been a blessing and as curse as I have found ways of making music non musically which I feel gives me an edge of approaching my productions from a unique angle. This approach is sometimes very long and frustrating but overall I can make something that sounds fresh and new to my ears and thats what I think electronic music is about at the end of the day.
