Guest Mix #012 Spektre

Welcome to another episode of the Gekiga podcast. 

For episode 07, we brought out one of our homies and fave comrades in the war of art, DJ, producer, and label head: Ramsey Neville.

With a consistent string of releases on a variety of labels such as Planet Rhythm, Cocoon recordings, Agape Records, and his own label Impulse Control, Ramsey’s production has been featured in sets all over the world, by underground DJs and big names alike. 

Aside from production, Ramsey is a highly skilled DJ, who, for years, has showcasing his energetic, hard hitting style to sold out crowds in the NYC and broader U.S. circuit, and has recently begun breaking ground in Europe and beyond. 

For Ramsey’s Gekiga mix, we challenged him to give us a different side of his aesthetic that has yet to be seen. We wanted to see Ramsey go raw, vicious, and sonically aggressive, and he did not disappoint! The end resulting mix, Gekiga Podcast episode 07, is a gritty mix full of attitude, and embodies a style and flavor that no one has heard Ramsey tackle before.

Artist bio : 
Vkn.modular is a techno producer and DJ, born in Guadeloupe and now based in the south of France.
His music takes shape between the analog and digital worlds, standing out for its raw energy, intense emotions, dark, hypnotic, and dynamic sounds.
Vkn.modular has recently produced tracks for labels such as Splatter and Planet Rhythm.
His tracks have been played by Kaiserdisco on the KDR141 - KD Music Radio show, as well as by Léa Occhi on HATE Podcast 422, to name just a few.

Vkn.modular builds his sets by playing with spontaneity and the energy of the moment. However, he places great importance on structure, refining his sets to give them a strong narrative and coherence.
Inspired by the sounds and aesthetics of the old school, he brings a modern approach by incorporating evolving textures and deep atmospheres.
For him, techno is a bridge between tradition and innovation, where the raw energy of the early days meets an advanced sonic exploration, always looking toward the future.

Vivi is known for her hypnotic, raw and dark take on techno. Her sound blends elements of abstract broken beats and textured rhythms, creating sets that are both mentally immersive and physically unrelenting. Inspired by the early roots of techno and a teenage love affair with bloghaus and electronica, Vivi’s selections are driven by deep digging and a respect for the underground’s past and present.

Blach: Journey and Evolution in the Electronic Music Scene

Blach, hailing from a home where music was a constant presence, began his musical journey influenced by the vibrant and diverse environment cultivated by his older siblings. His passion for electronic music deepened while listening to tapes of Modern Talking, The Prodigy, and Technotronic, among others. This innate interest led him to discover techno at a local party, where he was captivated by the DJ’s precision and energy, marking a turning point in his life.

Starting his career in 2000, Blach immersed himself in techno, influenced by the raw sound of labels like Blueprint and Tresor. During what he considers the "golden age of techno," he drew inspiration from icons like James Ruskin, Oscar Mulero, and Jeff Mills, who cemented his perspective and musical style.

Throughout his career, he has observed a positive evolution in the scene, with a growing demand for authentic experiences in clubs and festivals that prioritize musical quality. Blach remains attentive to labels and artists that embody genuine commitment, such as Token and Setaoc Mass.

As a prominent figure in the electronic music scene, he actively performs in Galicia, where the current state of electronic music continues to evolve and influence the regional scene.

Known for his intuitive approach during sets, Blach selects tracks that fit the event and moment, allowing spontaneity to guide his performance. He is currently developing a new live project under the name Antoxo, exploring new ways to connect with his audience, and working on the third release of Purveyance.

He continues to be an influential figure in the techno scene, always carrying in his repertoire renowned producers like Oscar Mulero, Orbe, and Kr!z. The renewed energy in techno and his unwavering commitment to authenticity ensure that Blach remains a reference in today’s electronic music.

Haber (Arg) is a dynamic producer and emerging artist in the Techno scene of Buenos Aires, Argentina. With a unique style and an undeniable passion for music, he has been making his mark in the industry with his creativity and distinctive sound. Inspired by the energy and vigor of techno music, Haber (Arg) has developed a sound that combines hypnotic rhythms with deep sonic textures, resulting in innovative productions that defy expectations.

Harami (aka Aryan Batti) is a Stockholm-based queer DJ, producer, and founder of the music collective İBNE. Drawing inspiration from their Kurdish roots, the queer community, and the dancefloor itself, Harami’s sets are a patchwork of percussive hipworking techno, 90s rave energy, and hypnotic textures—always with a cheeky, haram twist. The motto? “As long as it’s moving my hips and tickling my brain.”
More than just a selector, Harami has played a big role in shaping and maintaining Stockholm’s queer techno scene over and underground—creating safer spaces, centering marginalized voices, and building community through sound. Since 2019, they’ve brought their booty-shaking sound to clubs and raves across Stockholm and beyond, including Berlin, Copenhagen and Vienna.
Following their debut tracks Children of the Sun (Shivers Label) and Souk Mayhem (ASHR) in late 2023, Harami is now working on new stuff to be released soon.

Telicho is a Vienna-based DJ, producer, and founder of the “Back to Underground” event series. 

Known for her relentless, hypnotic techno sets, she has played at venues like Postgarage Graz, Das Werk Wien, Rave on Snow Festival, and numerous other clubs across Austria and Germany — with her Grelle Forelle debut set for 2025. 

Her productions, blending hypnotic atmospheres and raw percussion, have been released on Splatter Imprint, Subhills, Nine O Nine, and DYS Records, with upcoming music on BCCO, Toon Techno, and more planned through the end of 2025.

Diana Franco is a techno DJ and producer. Recognized for her streamlined story-telling and trippy soundscapes, Diana's style blends emotional depth with captivating energy.

Though relatively new to the craft, she has dedicated herself to daily production sessions, rapidly refining her unique sound while drawing inspiration from like-minded artists in the scene.

Italian label Loose Records was established by Mario Manganelli and Rino Cerrone (who also run Rilis and Unrilis) in 2006 as an outlet for inventive, underground techno with a fresh perspective. 
Rino himself has long been a bastion of the Neapolitan techno scene, whilst Mario, too, has been promoting nights, running clubs and unearthing techno talents ever since the 1990s. 
Together the pair has a great understanding and has managed to mix up established talents with bright new comers, making the label a go to place for fans of proper techno.  Releasing both club ready EPs and full length artist albums in vinyl and digital format.
