It's been a while since I recorded a mix, and I'm very happy with the result, I hope you'll enjoy it too !

Some of you may know that lately I've mainly been playing 2 different styles, depending on who I'm getting booked by/with: Minimal (with Dylan Cherry and at the Sunday's Edit nights), and "classic" house with Groovy Castle.

The latter side of me is what I wanted to show in this mix, and here's what you can expect: house, latin, future jazz vibes. Includes tracks from Kerri Chandler, Mike Nasty, Cody Currie, Dam Swindle and closing with Demucha by Crackazat which is in my opinion this year's best track. Fully digital mix this time, recorded on a Xone 92.

Yes there's a couple of backspins in there, no I am not ashamed.

The Magic Trackast 077 - Pleasure Voyage [HU]

2022 has been another fantastic year for our That Disco Groove Series and for our final edition of the year we are joined by Italian DJ & producer Sam Ruffillo.

Sam has established himself as a resident on the disco arm of Toy Tonics Records and has achieved 3 full EP releases with the label this year. Aside from this he has production collaborations and credits from other talents on the label such as Barbara Boeing & Kosmo Kint. His productions have been supported by the likes of Pete Tong & Purple Disco Machine.

Having played parties with Toy Tonics this year in cities such as London, Manchester & Milan, we are proud to host him on That Disco Groove and share the airwaves with him. Sam's sound spans Rare 80s Italo edits to 90s house rarities making his sets edgy and varied in musical direction. He's come through with an excellent guest mix which you can hear in the second half of this week's show!

@dj-rocca needs little introduction to those in the know. The Italian maestro has been doin' it longer & better than almost anyone else in dance music. The constant collaborator has made music with everyone from Jazzanova to Dimitri From Paris, the latter of which produced the recent Erodiscotique remix for Midnight Magic, landing right here on Razor-N-Tape.

To celebrate the remix, Rocca rocks his debut on the RNT Podcast series. He provides 90 minutes of perfectly-blended sample-laden house, electro-disco, global groove, and a few synthetic sizzlers to boot; all steeped in the well-season Italian tones we've come to love over the years.
