There isn’t much music on the musical spectrum which Englishman Chris Barratt aka Eagles & Butterflies doesn’t draw inspiration from, and it shows in his productions which can range from downtempo to techno. This diversity has lead to the Englishman releasing on some of the world’s most celebrated labels including Get Physical, Innervisions, Noir Music and Southern Fried. Earlier this year he also signed a couple of productions to Bedrock records which included his re-work of DK8’s classic techno banger ‘Murder was the Bass’. There is no doubt that Eagles & Butterflies are starting to confirm that he is an artist with some serious longevity, and his Balance Selections podcast is one that will sit with the listener for while, emotive without ever being too obvious. Patrice has a few words he would like to say... 

“Ahead of my GU42 Berlin album release on March 29th, I wanted to share a very special live set from the other side of the planet. Like Berlin, Rainbow Serpent is an anomaly on the rave map. This mix will be online for a very limited period only:

The best dance floor in the world. That’s the Market Stage of Rainbow Serpent Festival to me. The energy of the Rainbow tribe, the rabid vibe and feeling of unity are difficult to describe to anyone who has not been here. Simply standing on the dancefloor and experience this incredible sound system is one of life’s finer pleasures. I felt absolutely honoured to be trusted with the task to close the festival. Looking onto the dancefloor from the dj booth, the Market Stage painted a beautiful picture. The atmosphere was electric and love-drunk all day, Nick Warren and D-Nox brought their A-game.

This is my third year in a row playing here and the absolute highlight on my yearly calendar. In these years my wife and I have made friends for life here, which is why we release this mix with our beloved Wildwood crew. We have grown extremely fond of Australia as a country. This place has received us with open arms from day one and never fails to blow our minds in many different ways. It has become our second home.

Over the last ten years, the musical adventure that connects David López. Has carved out an important slot in the electronic scene, being deeply specialized in progressive-house sounds and fascinating melodic techno.

Since then, this guy from La Mancha (Spain) has not stopped their growth, publishing material on such important European labels as the Berlin label Exploited or on Diynamic Music, besides the popular Solomun at the helm.

At the same time, Lopezhouse was noticed by an electronic legend such as the British musician John Digweed, who bet heavily on them by being signed by Bedrock Records to release several EP’s and the awesome debut album entitled Apollo that was released at the end of 2021.

Last, but not least, in 2021 he published Apollo, their first full-length work. It is their most daring and experimental work up to date, moving away from the dance floor with a search of krautrock and post-rock essences in tune with other styles such as ambient, synth-wave and dark disco. It can be considered as a turning point in their career that opens 2022 with renewed energy for offering the public a new live show full of soul, character and quality that will continue that upward last decade trajectory.

Finally, nowadays Lopezhouse has 7 EP’s and 1 album in Bedrock Records and he is doing many gigs around the world showing his music!
