Acid Bath - Cheap Vodka

This mixtape was originally released in 2020, around Christmas, in the format of an EP. It was deleted a couple weeks after, but I decided to bring it back, as it's a work I'm deeply proud of. It was written and recorded in one day (16 hours to be exact), towards the end of 2020 (around September). A spur of the moment thing. Kratuz was so gracious to even embark on this journey with me. Unnanounced, unrestricted, unboxed, we simply created with no bounds. This was the result - a body of work so spontaneous, R&B at the core, with a trap undertone, wrapped up on a light concept; the after taste of a potential great relationship.

"Nonplus is my attempt at creating a hybrid between minimal, tech, jump up and melodic techno. It started as a simple roller until I decided to make the main lead, a strange FM synth that drifts over the bassline, creating some sort of polytonal effect, which creates tension. This is followed by a melancholic breakdown and the second drop, which utilises variations in chords and rhythm to create variety."
