When AMB sent the first versions of these tunes, to us at Muti Music, he had been creating whole tunes on his newly acquired OP1 and other outboard gear. The clarity, freshness and his unique ability to create flow and beautifully crafted melodies that deconstruct and then build again into a whole. These were all elements that drew us in and instantly had us clamoring for more. The Magic Button is the first in a series of ‘Collected Stories’ that we will be gratefully releasing on Muti Music.

The Day When I Saw Myself (feat. Emily McNally)

In this track I tried to capture the mood of synth-pop songs of 1983-85, with a slower BPM. The main inspirations were Phill Collins (early 80s), Michael Cretu, Talk Talk, Első Emelet and V'Motorock. Most synth sounds used are emulations of the Prophet 5 and the Pro-One, widely used in that period.

Dystopia

Composer and pianist. He graduated in music composition from the Academy of Music in Klausenburg. Since then, he has worked on soundtracks for videomapping shows in collaboration with AMB, music for advertisements and contemporary dance performances. Other works of him that reached the public include compositions for string orchestra.
