gyrofield gives us her most ambitious project to date, Evangelion For Beginners.

Imbued with a generalist and foundational approach to drum and bass, a stylistic bow-on-top was tied on the record with influences from the Japanese cultural touchstone anime Evangelion. Though flowing fluently in the canon of drum and bass, the beautifully uneasy atmosphere inspired by the mecha anime also serves as the soundtrack to a blooming love affair with dance music.

This is an artist in a moment of development, while still bringing a vision like no other, and showing the world just how important they are at a timely moment for electronic music.
