The latest edition of our free download series welcomes Golan Zocher back for his second appearance. The Colombian born, Israel based artist makes electronic music that breaks boundaries, moves feet and twists minds. Since first emerging in 2016 Golan has won over progressive music tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, while landing standout releases via Beatfreak, Clubsonica Records, Or Two Strangers and Proton Music. A well received rendition of ‘Roads’ by Portishead marked Golan’s debut on our free download series in 2018, and now as 2021 winds to a close, he returns with an equally sought after, indie-dance revision of Sinead O’Connor’s hit ‘All Apologies’. A fresh and summery collaboration arrives on Defected, as Grigoré, Serve Cold and Jaguar Jaguar deliver ‘Dancing’. Grigoré has risen to success producing and DJing across house and techno spheres, quickly earning him respect from world-class artists like Solomun, CamelPhat and Kevin de Vries. His work with frequent collaborator Serve Cold began with his third EP, Seasons, with the tracks channelling both artists’ melancholic and melodic sides. For their Defected debut, the pair unite with Belgian band Jaguar Jaguar, who share the producers’ spiritual aesthetic and talent for electronic music.
