This song, I wrote after my wedding. When the false eyelashes, and hair extensions, self tanner, etc came off, I was left with just me. and while that should have been good enough, it wasn't. I fell in love with the fake me, and I fell into a very deep depression for a month until I was able to write this song, and allow music to be my outlet. I failed to see the " natural" beauty God had given me. I allowed myself to fall in love with this false reality. And so I say, " I wish that I had read the warning signs. Almost on the back of each beauty treatment..... ' Provides a false reality. You'll never feel this beautiful again. You're not capable of love from anyone. You'll take it off and be reminded everyday, just like those compliments, this beauty will all fade' "
